What Are Your Favorite TV shows?

Been really loving the Orville still.  Saw Love & robots for a few episodes; dunno if I find it compelling enough to continue.  Liking Dororo, on Amazon, a lot.  Finally got into The Expanse and am on the second season now.  Was watching The Black Butler anime, but quit kinda randomly, not because I didn't like it but because it began to seem just average to me.  Perhaps because I have no emotional investment in the main characters.  They do things, and sometimes those things are quite cool -- but it feels like it could be anyone else doing those things.I find it hard to continue with characters I don't care about.

Saw all bur the last few episodes of Lillyhammer.  Thought it would be junk but I really liked it.  I have put off seeing the last few because when I do, it will be over.

Bought the first season of The Strain and couldn't finish it.  It just got more unlikely and self-contradictory until I couldn't take it anymore.  Couldn't get much into Castlevania either, because they made him the vampire Captain Marvel, giving him ALL the powers.  It was ridiculous.

Enjoyed The Ozarks and will watch season 3, but I liked Bill Burr's comment that there was no way in hell a teenage girl is outsmarting a bright 50 year old guy that easily.  And unfortunately, they did seem to turn the wife into a Mary Sue at the end of season 2.    Just TOO good, too easy.

I'll go back to Bojack Horseman soon.  Loved the first seasons, and it has one of the best opening credits I've seen in years.

Game of Thrones is coming back in April!  :w00t2:  I can barely remember all the character interactions from the other seasons as it has been too long, but it's definitely on the to be watched list.  Love Death + Robots was pretty good I thought.  Just some short stories with some pretty outstanding animation overall.  I guess some modern games have similar graphics, but you can see how far things are coming along.

DUST on Youtube also has some interesting Sci-Fi shorts.

:sleep1: So sleepy this morning... just binged watched all 12 episodes from two seasons of "Fleabag" starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge.  The series won a few Emmies yesterday so I was a bit curious about it.  Man, it is so funny.  Worth watching if you get a chance.  It's about a tragic female protagonist who has a few emotional crutches/scars and her dealings with an extremely dysfunctional family of bizarre characters.  Waller-Bridge breaks the fourth wall routinely which makes her character that much more hilarious and charming.  I believe it's on Amazon Prime Video where available and other sources.  But dammit - I want more Fleabag!  :crying:  Two seasons only?

Anyone watching “Inside Bill’s Brain” on Netflix?   It’s a pretty interesting documentary about Bill Gates personal life, his history at Microsoft, and his projects with his wife Miranda.

Ozarks is one of the very few TV series/movies that shows just how difficult it is to spend money when you're sitting on a load of cash. The Wire comes to mind, and both the Wire and Ozarks deals with laundering money. I'm certainly in the position that getting money is the hard part, but apparently these guys have problems spending money without unwanted eyes noticing.

One wonders how much of the US economy depends on drug money being recycled through casinos.

Also, with the recent opiate news, where apparently pharmaceutical companies colluded with doctors to knowingly distribute drugs that weren't at all effective in treating chronic pain, it seems to me that legally distributing highly addictive drugs dwarfs what even the Mexican cartels were doing in the Ozarks. Absolutely bonkers to see this unravel, with 400,000 directly killed by legal opiates. This isn't the same as a guy checking out from the world by knowingly taking meth; the opiate addicts are people who were prescribed ever increasing doses for chronic pain.

Loving “The Mandalorian” so far!  Anyone watching it?    So much Star Wars goodness packed into such a short episode!  Good thing they are spacing episodes out, or I’d be binging all nighters!  :w00t2:

Finally got all caught up with my “Shameless” series.  Tried to watch “Watchmen,” but it was way too weird even for me.  I just couldn’t get into it past about four episodes.  :sleep1:

With the snow and low temps here, riding is all but done for me.  :cry2:  I’m not hardy like those northerners!

@Hunka Hunka Burning Love Is right, Fleabag was a big surprise to me too! Wish there was more.

What about ‘Bosch’, ‘Goliath’ and ‘Justified’ - all on Amazon

Also, no one mentioned Elementary, how is that possible?

Oh, and what about ‘Sneaky Pete’ ?

  Loved loved loved Fleabag!  Hope they are able to convince her to write a few more seasons!  There’s just so much more she could bring us!  I watched both seasons twice!

:cry2:  Sadly Suits is over.  So many seasons and good episodes.  No more!  Don’t know why they canned Mike Ross.  They were the best team.  :crying:

The Mandalorian has been a good watch!

As the thread is up, I enjoyed:
Fargo, with its standoffs
Maniac the mini series was nice
Glow was fun as light entertainment,
On Becoming a God in Central Florida seems good from the first two episodes.
Midnight Diner is cozy.

Netflix:

1) I don’t like the subject matter. I just couldn’t stop watching Breaking Bad.
2) Every Star Trek series ..............(except Deep Space Nine. Zzzzzzzzzz:sleep1:)

3) Ozark, Money laundering for a drug cartel? Honest, I like the show not the subject matter. It is also fun when I recognize the places in Georgia that the show was filmed.
4) ... I actually like books better, - Brandon Sanderson. Myst Born and the Storm light series. Orson Scott Card’s Ender. Etc

One of best shows ever sometimes even better than breaking bad black comic crime clever revenge conflict, just watch it.

But my favorite is Breaking Bad, I would place it to the 1st place, easy.
