Jeffrey Scott Will
Does 1.18 allow you to disable the voice greeting and does it remember every time you turn on wheel? And what about side LED control? Can you choose color or turn them off altogether?

edwin_rm
The voice setting is always remembered. Unfortunately, disabling the voice also disables the "car horn". The car horn is awesome! The side LEDs can't be controlled. Only the headlight can be controlled. I love the LEDs, but those that don't will have to unplug the light's cable. Jeffrey Scott Will
Unfortunately, unplugging the LEDs would also remove your battery indicator since they removed the separate indicator on the top panel for the final release. I don't wanna fiddle with the app every time I want to see the battery range, so for now, I'll leave them plugged in I guess. I just think it's going to be a little embarrassing sometimes.. Just like "HELLO KING SONG!" But at least you can turn that off. Its not a huge deal, but it would be very appreciated if they'd include it in a future firmware release. Gunthor
Good choice @Jeffrey Scott Will, I unplugged mine and as I do not have my smartphone all the time with me I've been once in a situation doing a long (~36 Km) ride starting with a battery level of maybe ~85-90% and then getting afraid because I could not check the battery level while on my ride... ... this is the main reason I connected the LED cables again. Nevertheless, so far I never drained the 680Wh battery - so for me this is the right KS-16 version.

Can't really blame the user as the box still says KB16A... @Henrik Olsen I had the same problem as the user because I chooses 16A instead of 16B. Not sure if my fuse blew but definately the machine went hay-wire now. I keep spinning forward and backward for no reason how do I revert the firmware to 1.15 or change it to 16B worst case scenario, I had to wait for v1.21 then correct it while upgrading

Ryan Tan
ks16A cannot update firmware. prototype Box and Manual write KS16A but its is ks16B which can update firmware. You can check the model type on the info interface. Serial number should start KS16D
duaner
My manual says "16A", the serial number starts "KS16D", the firmware version (after I upgraded it) says "KS-16C-V1.25". Ryan, does this mean my wheel is actually a "B" not an "A"?

Ryan, does this mean my wheel is actually a "B" not an "A"? If you have KS16D SN and the new pedals with the grip, your wheel is actually KS-16C. You can upgrade the KS-16B firmware to KS-16C, but you can't upgrade if you have KS-16A, because of a different board. However, I'm almost certain you didn't get the A version, as it was just a one batch a long time ago. To get everything straight: KingSong is using the KS-16A stickers everywhere except KS-16S, because... they have printed too many, so they use the old ones instead of printing new stickers. To avoid confusion, we unstick these labels for our clients. As you can see, just a small label can make chaos :-) You can read about the exact differences between 16A, 16B, 16C and 16S here:https://www.electricunicycles.eu/all_faces_of_kingsong_ks16-c__236
Roland
@Justina Thank you for that explanation! Because of the rapid developement __--° and a low amount of wheels in circulation __--° and a sometimes good sometimes bad amount of feedback from the producers in this forum. Speculation is often running rampand... You stopped it ... That is no small feat!
