What is the best wheel for fast acceleration and all out thrill? Is it the Veteran Lynx, is there one better than that, or is there a new one coming out soon that will top them all?

I’m getting ready to buy another EUC and I’d like to know what you all think. Please leave your comments, I will value all of them.

I dont think there are wheels out there that offer noticeably more thrill than your Patton. Begode Extreme and Inmotion V14 are very similar to your wheel. The Kingson F22has some pretty impressive motor power specs but it is also heavy for its battery capacity, and it remains to be seen how the control board firmware actually handles all the power going from the batteries through the MOSFETs to the motor.

Thanks. I’m also thinking about getting an electric scooter. I believe that would be a hell of a lot of fun and I want to do it before Trump gets into office. While I certainly don’t side either way and I don’t believe in politics or any politician (there is something that I advocate for, but I’m not going to bring it up here), I believe there’s a good chance the costs of EUCs may skyrocket due to the coming Trump tariffs.

So what do you think about the Inmotion RS? Or is there a better scooter?

The Segway G2Max, GT1 and 2 Pro, and ZT3 Pro are great choices. I have owned the G2Max for over a year; it's rock-solid and has a built-in charger.

the link is 1 year old.  extreme bull may have a newer K model out, dont know, leave it for you to research.  its quite interesting and the nice thing is that you are seated instead of standing.

Dude, that looks EXTREMELY cool! But the one thing that’s just a heartbreaker about it is the distance. That only goes about 40 to 60 miles, while doing an extremely slow speed, and for a lightweight rider at only 70kg. But if they could ever significantly improve the distance on that, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

Thanks man, which scooter would you say is best for a heavier rider (250 pounds) for the greatest distance?

Personally, I would go for the Segway SuperScooter GT2. It has the biggest battery, the longest range, and the highest top speed. The chargers are external, however, and it is heavy at around 110lbs or so. Also, this model has been out for at least 18 months and will likely be replaced in the next year or so.

Don't pay the current list price of $2499 - I have seen the GT1  on sale frequently over the past year for $1599. If you wait until Black Friday, you might be able to find an even better deal on the GT2. Bestbuy.com also sells them.

Thanks for posting this, but are you aware of the Inmotion RS? It has a top speed of 68mph (versus the top speed for the GT2 at 44mph) and will go 100 miles on one charge

Why the et.max in your opinion?

I haven't tried it. It just looks to me like a response to the lynx and sherman-l. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the most powerful. Power is the best safeguard for a heavy rider.

I'm not familiar with modern begode but I'm in favor of their design philosophy of protecting the rider from faceplants. No pedal dipping is also a nice feature. That's confidence inspiring.

The same design philosophy also comes with responsability to maintain the wheel. If it comes with fewer safeguards (that could fail = faceplant) it means the owner needs to be vigilant and look for possible problems and fix them before they become emergencies.

So just to explain what I mean with faceplant protection. They either don't have limits or have very extreme limits so that they're very hard to trip. The wheel will "self-sacrifice" in order to protect the rider from falling.

Veteran is the only other brand I'd buy because they look very serious about providing power and clever features. If both Begode and Veteran supplied a control board to the same motor, my guess is that the Begode board would cutoff/blow up at a higher wattage than the Veteran board. Veteran would be more inclined to protect the wheel.

I have however no more proof than the experience from working on older wheels, and watching videos on the newer wheels.

This might be my Blitz talking but buy a Blitz man.

I'm super biased and haven't tried any of the newer 2023/24 wheels but I can't imagine any of them being better than my Blitz.

Light weight + power is the meta IMHO. Even if I was ordering a X-way I'd go with the 134V variant. You are however around 60 pounds heavier than me so I'm a bit uncertain what advice I'd give you on what X-way to go for.

If I was looking for a heavier wheel I'd like to try the new King Song tbh. If we are ignoring the price and the range (I don't need the range, maybe you do) I think having suspension in all the four corners can potentially be peak stability and comfort as far as EUCs go.

The Apex is also really interesting for its long ass suspension travel. But currently its slightly worrisome how the stiction in the suspension seems to be a problem for at least two of the testers.

Yeah maybe just order a 168V Begode X-way and I don't think you will regret it.

All the Lynx owners love their Lynx though. I know my Sherman S has held up real good and the Lynx is the same quality if not better. I'm pretty sure a high energy crash with any non-LeaperKim wheel will break more parts on the wheel than on a Lynx or Sherman L.

You're not saying much about how you like to ride or what range you want or how much weight you are willing to accept.

I don't know how to talk about it politely but how has it been riding the Patton with your body weight so far? I recall it was known for bottoming out a lot when it was new. Are you on the 66lbs suspension?

What ever you decide on make sure to get something with 50S battery cells so you can enjoy performance from your wheel at a lower battery capacity too.
