on one Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Assuming EUC is your fave. For me, the next best thing would probably be a hot air balloon and a paraglider, but those aren't allowed in-city. Quote
EUCzero Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I already fly paraglider (since 97), so probably electric longboard. 2 Quote
on one Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 I can't really imagine this world without the possibility of EUC's. They are something that simply must exist for the reality to function. 1 Quote
novazeus Posted November 5 Posted November 5 i use wheels for work but sometimes u need something different, so this will be here this week hopefully. 1 Quote
Maverick Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I'd take up paramotoring. My understanding is that you can get trained and buy a the unit for about the costs of two "L"s and a Lynx. 2 Quote

novazeus Posted November 5 Posted November 5 https://jetson.com/ day after closing, i'll be getting one of these. they'll have worked out the bugs by next Christmas. probably have to buy somebody's slot. all i need for this place. 2 Quote
Popular Post xiiijojjo Posted November 5 Popular Post Posted November 5 Probably something like this but faster. The focus on storage makes it perfect for the nomad life 3 1 Quote
OldFartRides Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I test rode a UBCO….I liked it. Still like EUC’s better. ‘87 Samurai is hard to beat for compact ute. 1 Quote
Poker Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Maybe an electric dirt bike. I like enduro motorcycles but people don't want to hear BRRRaaaaaaAAAAAaaap when they are out for their Sunday walk in the woods. 1 Quote
Surfling Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) Bikes (street and trail) and I'm actually riding them again more than my EUCs. The exercise just makes me more energetic and get better sleep, too. EUC is now just my summer ride when it's too hot & humid to pedal. Edited November 7 by Surfling Quote
atdlzpae Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Car. I'm in EUCs because they are practical. So are cars. Quote
novazeus Posted November 7 Posted November 7 in real life, the question sb, if electric unicycles get banned, other than a car or walking, what would u use to get about? if the infrastructure was built, nice multiuse paths, i'd skate using inline skates.of course skating would get banned too. difference between skating and riding a wheel, i'd only use wheels if i was going on a errand, skating i'd do daily for the exercise benefits. litewave Posted November 7 Posted November 7 eRide Pro 3.0 + an affordable, street-legal MetaCycle or similar. I have an electric scooter for companions, and tbh, it's lame compared to EUCs. Quote
novazeus Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) i don't go anywhere since 2020, but in my entire life, i've never seen anybody on a electric unicycle, and i live in a pretty populated area. i think i saw an alien spacecraft one night, but no euc's ever. as far as i know, this forum and all youtube could be ai. haha, i did sell a 16s to a person circa 2018, and i saw him ride it 50 yards in a parking lot and drop it, then return. oops. transaction went thru and everybody was happy, except maybe my previously unscratched 16s. Chris50 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 With any of those electric vehicles, one thing you have to at least be cognizant about is getting mugged. When someone sees you riding around on something that obviously looks like it costs at least a few thousand dollars, you can quickly become a target. Especially in today’s world. But when it comes to EUCs, since very few people know how to ride them, it presents a knowing hurdle to any would be opportunist, lowlife thug. Quote

Maybe you should avoid the rough part of town, wherever that may be. Quote

If it wasn't for my absurd height, I'm sure I would have been mugged a few times in the past. People like to ask how much these things cost, you don't need to answer them, but that's not gonna mean much since a lot of people are learning about what an EUC is these days. In 10 years everyone will know. Hopefully by that time we have car keys/fob to lock/unlock, hopefully EUC will include a really loud alarm in case of people jostling with it while it's parked and you're shopping. I'm seen a few people talk about implementing this extra component that could keep the EUC stabilized horizontally, allowing it to follow you around as you are shopping for example. I believe it's the same tech motorcycles use to be able to stand upright, without falling over or needing the kickstand deployed. I'm really interested in EUC "parking safety" or whatever you call it. I hope to see more features introduced to make it easier to park your multiple thousand dollar EUC and going off doing something else, like you can with a car/motorcycle. I'll personally be adding some of those features to my next wheel if it doesn't come with it. Edited November 13 by xiiijojjo 1 Quote
Phonoman Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Onewheel. When I started to look into commuting in a outdoor & fun yet more active than sitting in a car way - that was my first finding. Then digging more into the PEV topic I found a much better choice.. and here we are. 1 Quote
bpong Posted November 25 Posted November 25 sorry guys, its always my 99' 5spd manual sr5 v6 4runner. my euc is principally for commuting. but for long trips, and trips with my friends, its damn easier to carry 4 passengers plus cargo in a vehicle than an euc...cant beat the euc for singular downtown cruising though... Scubadragonsan Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Yes yes yes, single passenger flying drone! It doesn't have to be big or expensive. Maybe the price of an electric car! Quote
