destruver Posted October 15 Posted October 15 (edited) When the v13 was just released, some were concerned about it not reaching full voltage, but this was a safety mechanism put in place to I believe to prevent damage to the battery packs via of course the BMS (thanks Marty!), but my v13 is reaching it's max voltage of 126 after a full charge, a few months back I remember it was 124 (I've put 7k miles on this wheel in the 8 months I've owned it, since Feb. Yeah.) Does this mean my BMS and/or battery are going out? I've noticed the wheel sometimes overtorques more easily too when I go to hard accelerate. Edited October 15 by destruver Quote
Punxatawneyjoe Posted October 15 Posted October 15 Mine has always reached 126v and i have a 1st generation. Highly unlikely there is something wrong if it's reaching the correct voltage. Inmotion has stringent battery safety's as well as overzealous current safety's so it's fairly easy to push into the beeps on acceleration. 7k miles in 8 months is impressive. The good news is the control should notify you of any battery problems and this wheel has a 2 year warranty on the packs should anything go wrong. 1 Quote

While it's not an inmotion, I didn't see any issues on my Sherman Max until after the 13K mark, and that's riding it all types of weather and unfortunately crashing it a couple times. However, when it did go it went in a spectacular fashion by doing random freespins in grocery stores and apartments (not fun). That was a motherboard problem. The motor and battery are still good after all that. I can only hope the battery doesn't go out in spectacular fashion either. If inmotion is anything like leaperkim, I say you still have a good amount of time with those batteries, but that's from a layman on batteries. 1 Quote
