sunneebear Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I recently bought a used V5F for my daughter. Great condition, low miles. Pedals have a mind of their own. Tilts up and down with any movement of the wheel, even slightly leaning when still. Worst is during direction changes. Feels like standing on a paddleboard over choppy waves. The new Inmotion app just says failed when clicking on the calibration select. Is it my phone (iphone SE), the app or maybe even the sensors or board in the wheel itself? Please help. 1 Quote

If you are in soft mode you may want to try medium or even hard. I don't have a v5f but I do have a v12 and if you don't want your pedals to move at all you have to change the settings. Hope it helps. If you require further assistance include a screenshot of the inmotion app while the wheel is on and for some reason iphones have trouble connecting to the EUC apps or the wheel itself. If you have an old android laying around that would be best or just download darknessbot Quote
onewheelkoregro Posted October 5 Posted October 5 ok I just found out their is no ride settings on an Inmotion v5f, but to calibrate it you need to lay it on its side it it completes. Quote

I had a V5F+ a while back that I gave to my son to use in college. It could be set up every way possible with the old app. The new app seems to be a big step down from the old. I have tried upright resting forward and backwards. On both sides. Upright with the spin stop button pressed and not pressed. Get a failed response to all. 1 Quote
Lockwood Posted October 9 Posted October 9 For what it's worth, my phone gives me the same failed message whenever I turn the headlight via the app, but the headlight still comes on. It very well could be calibrating and just displaying an error message in app. Hard to say. I've never used those features for my wheel, so I'm not entirely sure if that's the case. 1 Quote
