Scully
Just out of curiosity, who knows of a particularly old / young rider?
Popular Post Hunka Hunka Burning Love
I'm not the oldest or youngest, but I feel like I'm 14 again when I'm riding my EUC. Does that count? 2

Gimlet
I turned 60 last January but I'm fairly sure there are members who are a lot older.
nute
I was going to start a "what's your age" topic but you beat me to it. When I see people riding hover boards they tend to be pretty young but it's struck me reading the forums here that ECU owners span the full range of ages with a lot being middle aged or over. I'm 51 and when I bought my wheel I thought I'd be like the oldest person ever to be playing with such a thing but it seems to be us older folks who are fascinated with these things... Or maybe it's only us who can afford them. Maybe an added benefit is that the police are less likely to stop us than a teenager, or is that wishful thinking. I've had several police cars go by me whilst I've been wheeling and never had any issues, at least so far. But I do live out in the sticks and not in a big city. I am a couple years older than you and thought the same thing. That's why I was so fascinated by the poll on this forum that asked for demographic info on EU riders. Nearly 2/5 riders are between 45 and 54! the two largest cohorts are 45-59 and 50-54, by significant percentages. Take a look at this link: POLL: Who are the EU riders? What is your age, gender, and occupation?
Tilmann
The youngest EUC rider I heard of: The oldest one in my field of view is a 75 year old chap from Berlin. He was into mechanical unicycling in his younger years and rides an airwheel now. He is happy with the low top speed of his wheel and moves very elegantly with it. I for one have moved up a group since that poll was posted so the figures are a little less accurate than they were.

Reivax
Well, the older rider I personally know and rode with was born in 1948, and he is a member of this Forum but I'll not denounce him.

Jurgen
51 there already a thread on age, it seems mean age is relatively high, but the forum could be a selection bias. money is probably a factor: the difference between the men and the boys is the quality of their toys
Popular Post Nuo Meng
Last week I was riding my Ninebot One e+ in North Vancouver BC Canada and this older fellow stopped me and said "I have one of those" then explained that his was different, it is called a GotWay and then showed me a short video of him riding an EU then we compared apps on our phones. He said he was 84 years old, and he thinks he is the oldest person riding an EU. I went home and looked up GotWay online and that's when I discovered I needed to buy a MSuper 18 inch. I haven't seen him since. 1

Popular Post Jason McNeil
My Customer John Berry (ex-Engineer Lotus motorcars) surely must be the oldest rider at 81! Over a year ago he wrote this mini-review for the IPS132: Not Falling off your wheel. I am now the happy owner of an second generation IPS 132. It's very reasonably priced and features a smoothness of response together with a genuine, immense power reserve by far exceeding anything else I have experienced to date. I have pushed the IPS 132 beyond all reasonable limits and it has never failed me. At least now, when I occasionally exceed my own capabilities, I know it is not the machine that is at fault and that I am no longer going to be thrown, without warning, unceremoniously, and dangerously, flat on face when I do not deserve it. So, If you want to avoid seriously damaging yourself, then before buying, check all blogs and reviews. John Berry PS. I was born in 1935. So if I can do it so can you! ColinOldAndCranky
I believe that former US Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld was still riding a unicycle at 80 years of age in 2010. A REAL unicycle, not a powered one. Beat that guys. ====================================================== I'm 68. I ride an UNpowered 24" unicycle, I meter my riding and, post retirement slowdown, still covering 4,000 to 5,000kms a year. Currently the meter is a hundred short of 65,000kms. My target is to pass 100,000km before I am eighty if I (fingers crossed) am still riding. Edited May 19, 2020 by ColinOldAndCranky

UnicycleJuggler
I'm 80 years old. I ride at most about 200 yards before my legs start giving out. Juggling on a unicycle is hit or miss, mostly miss. Here's me doing a very short juggle. https://youtu.be/egQY4cBjjsc
