kintips Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Hey guys On my ride today s18 i hit 59km/h. I was thinking no way. Top speed is 50km/hr Then i remember there was a agrument with people saying gps is more accurate than speed on the wheel Now keep in mind im a light weight rider. I was shocked it said that. Quote
OldFartRides Posted September 28 Posted September 28 S18 has a reputation for speed wobbles, esp. when braking. I myself have noticed this and keep it under 35 kph at all times. Best, Quote

slippyfeet Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Relive app speed I feel is very generous. I’ve clocked 32mph multiple times and one 39.1mph on a Tesla T3 via its app stats but I know surely by the flow of traffic it’s not how fast I’m actually going. Quote
Funky Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Don't catch air and you will be fine. You probably jumped over something while accelerating - wheel started to go faster.. Didn't wheel give any alarms or anything? Usully it would/should start blaring them around 50kph.. FYI: You're lucky that didn't crash - if you where "really" going that fast. And i was flying over so many cracks on the path that i got air Just found it funny i did record it all on my gopro will update later Quote

Youre right funky i was lucky the thing didnt cut out on me lol no alarms though Do you guys find the beeps sometimes are too quiet when theres so many cars around? And you have your motorbike helmet on, I notice that with my mten4 Quote

And you have your motorbike helmet on, I notice that with my mten4 Even when i go for a "fun" ride with helmet - i can hear even the quietest EUC world beeps. (Which are set as my first alarm. So i know i'm riding 40km/h) Other than "fun" rides - i never hear or experiance any alarms. As i'm not geared on my daily commutes and ride much slower. 2 hours ago, kintips said: I was looking at the darkness bot pwm. How do you read that chart? Is 50 good? On th y-axis? At 100 wheels cuts out. 100 = 0 power left. 50 would be half the power?? 50 used out of 100. (Or is that completly different chart..?) Or is that "50" max speed?? Edited September 29 by Funky Quote

I am on the conservative side, so when I get close to 80, I start to back off. That means I try to keep a safety margin of around 20% pwm. Quote
