Hunka Hunka Burning Love
I have an app on my iPhone that is called iHandy Level which is like a bubble level for my iPhone. It seems to be smart enough to know it's orientation in space and automatically switches for me depending on how I'm holding the phone. I never need to calibrate my iPhone so why can't EUCs do the same? You read about people's EUCs getting offkilter requiring a reset calibration. Can't they just incorporate a similar gyro in the EUC? You would think the gyro is locked to the orientation of the motherboard so it should stay true as long as the motherboard is level and upright it should always know what is level? WakefulTraveller
Most leveling apps can be recalibrated in the case that the phones gyro is off, so the gyro on a phone can potentially be off just like that of a EUC. I do not know what could make one gyroscope stay more true than another over a length of time.

Overheating, once a gyro is severely overheated beyond specs it can and does become unreliable, overheating it is much likely to occur on an EUC than a phone, the true is mostly true for any electrical component, overheating causes unreliability
