So what do you guys think? Is this ugly or cool?

Instead of throwing away the stock pads/bumper, and spending $300+ on aftermarket pads and bumpers, I decided to try Thermoplastic and Mouldable Clay to build on my Extreme’s existing pads and customize to my legs.

All for a cool $45 Canadian :)

kudos to getting that amount of protection for only $45 !!!  however,  if you or a friend of yours has a dremel tool,  you should use it to go over your hand formed bumpers and smooth it out abit just to eliminate the rough edges and indents and such.

alternatively,  if you had the time,  you could have made moulds for the bumpers and then press the plastic into those moulds and they would have come out very clean in appearance too !!!  just saying....

Haha totally, I’m actually actively working on it still. The foam clay in the first photo was still flowing like a hot wax and not formed at all 😂 maybe I shouldn’t have got so excited (50% I didn’t even think it was gonna work) and shared the version 0.5 😛.

this is now version 0.7, with all the pressure points from Begode’s hard foams covered and rides like butter now 😁

*thanks bpong!

Is that the batter for baking a wheel pie? I wonder what it would taste like.:w00t2: I guess, when we crash, we'll know!
