Gondeep11 Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Hello all, Nice to meet the community.. This is my first post and first time here… I just received my 1st EUC, I decided on the S22 pro anniversary edition… I’m a pretty technical person, setup didn’t go very well, obviously very limited instruction in the owner’s manual…. I set up the app and did the update it required, my first time turning n the wheel while on level ground , the wheel took off at full speed , thank god I had my hand on the trolley handle, literally did a burn out until I could hit power… I went thru and calibrated using a level as well as built a stand to keep the wheel off the ground, just turned it on and it reved up to 69mph while completely level… Once it hits overspend , it stops , I have the settings for speed on beginner and the owners manual says the max it should go is 2/3 of the of the lowest speed until 2km break in…. This is the 3rd time it’s took off on me…. Help I’m afraid to even turn this thing on… 1 1 Quote
Gondeep11 Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 Just went into garage and tried again while on stand, turned on fine... tilted ever so slightly forward and the wheel raced to overspeed of like 70 mph... What the hell? 1 Quote
Chriull Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Welcome! You should contact your reseller and return the wheel! Could be "just" wrongly mounted phase wires of the motor or some imu ("gyroscope") fault... 4 hours ago, Gondeep11 said: Just went into garage and tried again while on stand, turned on fine... tilted ever so slightly forward and the wheel raced to overspeed of like 70 mph... What the hell One a stand without the tire touching ground every wheel will spin up to max speed. It needs to move a bit to self balance! If it stands on ground while you turn it on it should stay still - just move some very little bit so the imu is level. 1 Quote
Paradox Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Sounds like the motor was installed backwards. You should return the wheel. Not your problem. 1 Quote

What the hell? They do spin up quite fast on a stand, and needless to say this can be hazardous if it contacts anything spinning at speed. That said, if it begins spinning in the forward direction, you should be able to slow it down by slightly tilting it back. It doesn’t take much tilt in either direction to spin up, or slow down. Now, since you calibrated it, have you turned it on with it on the ground, say out in the grass where it could safely “ peel out” and fall over without hurting anything or anyone ? Perhaps it is a faulty unit. Doesn’t inspire confidence though. BTW, welcome to the forum. 1 Quote
Popular Post Gondeep11 Posted June 29 Author Popular Post Posted June 29 Thanks everyone, really appreciate the feedback… I do have to say I’m so impressed with ewheels as well as King Song, Both Got right back to me and it was 11pm Arizona time…. Ewheels reply was very nice and wanted to make sure nobody got hurt, KingSong told me NEVER turn on the wheel off the ground …. i went to my garage last night and re calibrated the wheel while on the ground, everything seems fine now…. I sat on it and moved around my garage and nothing seemed out of norm…. Now the fun will hopefully begin, I’m 55 years old, 6’4 and 270lbs, never rode an EUC so the learning curve should be fun…. Looking forward to more of everyone’s expertise… thanks again !!! 4 Quote
