PogArt Ttoo
Hi I’m considering upgrade my stock pads to this sort of *jumping pads, as I like firm fit they provide. The price is very steep everywhere I look, but this set on eBay seems to be half the price? The seller has quite few (over 100) sales already and 100% positive feedback… https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186291464789?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=warnqqfwq3i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Lk-o9uoaSiy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Have anyone bought from this seller yet please? I wish to avoid mistake … Thank you 😉👍
Cerbera
Trouble is, if they're not official brand pads you've got no frame of reference for how good or bad these might be. The value of pads is not just in getting the shape right, but also material choice and infill / construction decisions, which can have a huge effect on whether the pads are suitable or not. Also I would be keen to ask why there are no actual photos on his listing - only CAD renders / viewport grabs. Also note his no returns policy, and the fact that all the feedback on him relates to other products... And no mention of velcro anywhere in the listing either... I think that would be enough red flags for me to avoid these. Edited April 29 by Cerbera 1
Funky
Spend once and get real deal. Or buy cheap crap and live blissful life, not knowing what real thing is and what mistake one has made. I even spent extra 230$ same day i bough my wheel - honeycomb pedals - simply because i wanted honeycomb pedals and hated grip tape. Did i need to spend 230$ for some pedals and exchange the original pedals after 1 week? Ofc no.. I simply wanted them. And i knew i will be using them for YEARS.. Moral of story - buy real thing. Or live with conscience of knowing that you cheaped out and don't have the real thing. Also that cheap thing may be awful in real life. Spoiler Skip some takeout's.. And get real pads. I promise you will be more happy. (You will be using them every day - and they can be put on different EUC in future.. I see them as buy once and forget product.) And if you don't have $$$ - why do you even think about spending the non existing $$$ on some pads in first place?!?! This pad's 3d model is sold on cults3d, I suppose this eBay seller bought the model file and is offering the pads for sale without permission from maker. Even the listing pictures are ripped from the original listing. To the poster: Spend money and buy from people who have actual experience making pads, it will cost more, but it will make a big difference in quality. 1

I didn’t focus much to concidrr the reason for the price to be so steep. Now I’m more aware it’s not only the 3D print ~ it’s actually everything, including bunch of people involved to make it work… Thanks for wise warning and a red flag 👍

It’s making me smile reading your post @Funky … It’s because I’m literally following what you’ve said 👍 Unfortunately not at this power pads?! Your way of thinking is very wise, and I do the same thing in my life… I’m self taught artist, all my media I’m getting come from a reputable sources only, and top quality is a must ~ not any third party ever. The second example is my audiophile experience to listen to a high quality music files only. This is the only way to fully enjoy unique sound world 👍 It’s worth spent more because only then you can see the benefit of working with quality genuine product, like canvas, paint , pencils or brushes… I’m a bit ashamed by myself now, that I did consider to get power pads for cheap, and possibly risk a potential crash in bad case scenario?! Thank you for waking me up 👍 Edited May 5 by PogArtTi
