But they really need to figure out one pedal design for all their wheels at this point. 3 new wheels with 3 different hangers is just insane. We do hear of folk finding the single stanchions on some wheels causing the alignment with the batteries to misalign when knocked. If this has a good seat option and adjustable pedal height out of the box, this could be a really interesting option for those looking to buy the Lynx. Mine arrives next week and had this been on sale earlier, I’d seriously consider this instead. Even the voltage must be same. Always a multiple of 4.2. But yes, the differences are mostly in small features. Time will tell how close it performs. techyiam Posted April 20 Share Posted April 20 (edited) I, for one, am glad that Kingsong pitted the F22 directly against the Lynx, and not the ET Max. The Lynx looks to be the current hot seller in the performance wheel category, not the ET Max. I have a brief ride on the ET Max, and it didn't struck me immediately as the wheel I am looking for as my next wheel. My initial impression of the ET Max was that it made compromises that wasn't best suited for my type of riding and body weight. For the type of riding that I do, I find it to be a bit too unwieldy and not as easy to ride as the Lynx. The extra stability may be nice, but it may have missed the mark for me. All out top speed is not the highest priority for me. I hope Inmotion also release a performance wheel to go head-to-head with the Lynx and F22. In the image below, it appears the F22 uses four inverted hydraulics struts at the four corners of the wheel. In addition, it uses rollers at the bottom by the pedals to give it extra rigidity and stability, and potentially reduction in stiction under load, perhaps some similarity to the concept used in the Commander Mini and Commander Pro. This suspension wheel looks to be structurally rigid. The suspension design on the F22 appears to be an amalgamation of the Lynx, Commander Pro, and their own S22 designs. The S22 contribution comes from the fact that didn't use one centrally located slider mechanism on each side. The F22, in addition to having a hydraulic strut at each corner, it also has a supporting sliding structure at the bottom. The structural piece that is bolted to the axle, and the pedal hanger look to be quite substantial. I hope the width of the F22 is not much wider than the Lynx. DavidB Posted April 20 Share Posted April 20 (edited) Curious about how it will ride if the shocks have different pressures or unequal loads. 4 Fastace suspension units will put them at a manufacturing cost disadvantage but Leaperkim's price premium probably make retail price comparison possible. Don't mind the colour. I'm sick of orange. Looking at the photo it appears removing the 4 lower shock mounts is all that is required to remove wheel for tire changes. techyiam Posted April 20 Share Posted April 20 (edited) Kudos to Kingsong for digging deep to bring about an innovative suspension design, and the willingness to take the risk to bring it to market. Kingsong has the best stock linkage design. And yet, they are willing to abandon it for the F22. Gutsy move. Having said that, perhaps Kingsong has come to realize that coming up with a cost effective, but functional slider system is not readily attainable at the moment.
