Any chance of an idiots guide ?

Thanks

Jer

Wow..I need to open up my Ninebot, study some advanced engineering books and have a bottle of suds. I am into biomechanics and thought I had a nice sized cortex but appear to be maladroit when it comes to these type of equations.

The first post in this thread IS the dummy guide. If you don't want to display multi-value graphs, you just have to install 9BMetrics on an iPhone or iPad.

If you like theory, I suggest this reading ;-) Fortunately, you don't have to master the equation to have pleasure riding your 9B1!!!

Well, up and running again. After one and a half month absolutely collapsed by a project with deadline at the Office I have been able to clear a little my code and made it into GitHub (proves Branch). I need a little more time for making it into AppleStore but if you want to download last working version from Github you will have :

- New file format. Much Much faster and logical. It will convert old .txt files to .9bm packages. they are exported as .9bz files which are .zip files unzipplable with a zip application.

- Now you may send a .9bz file to someone and it will import automatically.

- New much better "resume" view of old data with gauges. Also supports previe by 3D/Force touching the session or the icons. If when previwving ypu slide up some export posibilities appear.

- In the settings is the first screen you may select a "graphic running dashboard" with a big gauge for speed and small ones for Temperature and Battery.

- Esentially all is faster.

- All internal data (and in export files) is in IS Unit System. That means m, s, A so speeds are in m/s, power i w and energy in Joules. Presentation is fixed for the moment but working in an architecture to adapt to local unit systems.

- Big, Big, Big internal changes in the communication structure to allow different protocols for different wheels.

Will post some images.

Hope you like and hope to have it fast in the Apple Store

Still no problem with this 2.1 version after extensive use. It never fails.

On the opposite, the .dem script is heavily bugged. A code review by a gnuplot connoisseur would be welcome...

Hi all,

I've borrowed an iPhone 6 from work so I can use 9BMetrics as a server.  I plan to add Ninebot support to my Android app WheelLog but do not have access to a Ninebot device so this app is perfect.  I can't figure out how to start a server as shown on the 9BMetrics site.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Kev

Imho that something you should ask @Paco Gorina (you are aware of using the @ and the dropdown to notify someone?) since he is the author of 9BMetrics.

Sorry not answering faster.

It is Very easy , In preferences/9BMetrics just enable Test Mode

Then in the sentings select Ninebot Server

Just connect to the 9Bmetrica from your application.

Anyway from the help there is a link to a web site where there is the protocol and also you may access the sources from github

Hello,

I am still using this fantastic application. Starting it when commencing a trip has become a basic reflex. Thanks to the app, I regularly check things and could, for instance, verify that :

  • a tire pressure of 3.5 bar (for comfort) vs 4.0 bars (according to a weight based calculation provided in a forum) had no significant effect on power demand
  • climbing the access ramp of my car park was demanding too much to the engine (power demand above 1000W) ; I then avoided riding on this ramp for the sake of my 9B1 durability (and, by the way, of my teeth longevity).

I jailed my iPhone6, and I installed the 9B metrics app to try out.  It seemed to connect fine to my wheel so I took off for my usual ride.  Afterwards I went to take a look at it, but there was nothing recorded.  Maybe I didn't start it correctly or maybe my bluetooth got disconnected.  Too bad - I wanted to see the measurements and graphing data.  Even my Ninebot app tends to disconnect while riding so maybe it's just a weak signal issue.

You need to keep your phone in your sock!

Or get one of these...

Or (if you're cool enough) get one of these with the Bluetooth option...

You did not need to jailbreak your iPhone to install 9BMetric. The app is on the Appstore.

Concerning the weak signal, check whether the problem persists after having removed your iPhone protection case.

Maxwell Smart had the right idea!  I'll give it another try later on.  I actually jailed (removed the jailbreak) my phone (it was jailbroken before so I was stuck on iOS 8.3.4 or something), and after I restored it I upgraded it to 9.3.5.  It could be my Ninebot firmware 1.2.5 having BT issues as the regular app sometimes loses connection while riding as well.
