OneWheel
Does placing the battery horizontal instead of vertical does potential damage to the battery? In Pic 2, a plastic red lid is put on the bottom of the bag for support. The top and bottom of the bag has 2 to 3 layers of bumper form protection not including the form that is stitched into the bag. SlowMo
Can you show us a full picture of the Ninebot with the bag on top?
jer
None, the only factor is crash protection, which appears on your system to be good. Very comfy for the battery. If it is directly connected then you have to consider heat buildup if really well insulated. But I doubt the battery will warm up that much over a discharge time of a couple of hours. Especially if it happens that the battery pouch lands on some edge or someting sharp-ended.

SuperSport
You can ride with that there? Seems like it holds your legs out too far??
OneWheel
Can lay the battery on its side to make it thinner. Either way puts too much stress on the fragile handle bar. I try attaching to handle trolley is also too fragile.
