OneWheel
Hearing "louder" High Pitch Noise from ninebot one , battery at around 40%, firmware 1.3.5 . Is a disgrunted ninebot employee making coding mistakes in firmware? this is crazy. So loud may even hear while outside. Crazy ninebot people. esaj
The current theory is that they changed the motor driving PWM-frequency in the newer firmware, no idea why though. Around 8kHz, if memory serves? There's a topic (or at least it was discussed in some topic) somewhere in this sub-forum.
chriscalandro
There are many, many topics. And it's not a mistake.
steve454
Mine came with version 1.2.5, rode it a couple miles worked fine then updated to 1.3.5 and I can hear the motor more but I like it because it sounds and feels a little more powerful. I actually wish it had more of a powerful hum.
steve454
eureka! That's it! Is there an app that can make your Ninebot sound like you want?
steve454
I'm thinking that it could play through the speaker as you drive, instead of music, it could be like the sound of a jet turbine winding up or a motocross bike or just a high power motor working. Who needs beeps when you can tell the motor is giving it's all. Like Firewheel, but instead of a voice saying slow down it would be motor sound. OneWheel
Steve does it sound like 3:00 to 3:50 min mark? Give or take plus or minus KHZ
steve454
No, I don't hear anything that high pitched, it's just a little louder than it was. Interesting hearing test, I found out could'nt hear anything past 3;20 mark.
Vik's
@steve454 Then you will not be bothered with the annoying 8kHz sound that many 9b1 owners hear on fw.1.3.5... Hmm... or is it your speakers/soundcard are not capable to reproduce sounds above 7kHz...?
steve454
Probably the sound card, I just have a cheap laptop computer.
