Yesterday's ride from Boston to Salem started with a quip from someone at North Station asking 'how much does that cost ?(Monster) My ride progressed a few blocks where I set up my new 360 camera. A group of three stopped to ask some questions....the one on the right is a scooter rider....they seemed unimpressed with the EUC and walked on. For some reason the camera took a photo while my back was turned. I rolled by the Casino in Everett then stopped at Best Buy in Everett where I had bought my new Fusion camera and talked with an employee who (after looking at my ride video with disappearing stick) told me how GoPro got started by some California surfers (Australian according to Wiki) looking for a way to capture action type video in a water tight device. (See Wikipedia) Rolling along Revere beach , two girls in head to ankle Islamic dress strolled barefoot next to the ocean. Lots of kids playing in the sand and a brother-sister pint sized duo tried passing a sponge foot ball (US type) back and forth. A moped or two whizzed along the road at Revere beach in the summer heat. Almost home, in a moment of imitative imagining , I captured a Marty inspired Tiny Planet footage for this graphic in the grocery store parking lot. By the time I reached home my odometer rolled a few miles past 8,000 miles (12,874 km). My squeaking Monster (shell cracks) seemed to enjoy the ride. I thought it would be nice and cool but it ended up being hot like a Gotway glue board On the right: Maxlrain Castle, mainly known for its brewery which is in the center here. Note there's a smaller building left of each one, they will be identified soon. Castle Each castle needs it associated inn right next to it. That's the first smaller building. I wonder what the second could be... The brewery. Hard to photograph, but you can watch the conveyor belt moving the beer bottles by in the window. Of course the brewery needs is associated inn and, naturally and most importantly, beer garden! That's the real attraction in this place. In addition to the usual Bavarian meats, note the guy is grilling another typical specialty: Steckerlfisch (fish on a wooden stick). Today it was surprisingly empty. This place is packed with both locals and tourists at the right times. Behind the brewery, some nice rural scenery and a patch of forest I crossed. The area is quite swampy courtesy of the last ice age. You an see the typical bog water color. This little froggie escaped my proximity by drifting with the current away from me, without moving. Nice trick. Some more scenes after the forest. I had to cut the ride short a bit because my batteries aren't what they used to be (or maybe my tire pressure was very low, I enjoyed some unexpected but very welcome cushy bouncyness of my beloved Chao Yang tire). On the way home along the river path. The end. Yes you're right, I finally need a wheel that can actually do the mountain tours I want(ed) to do in the first place instead of these flat-land substitute rides. Cutest little baby, like saying to his mom (just outside image) Yes mom, I'm awake.... And then snoooze 😴 Passing the golf course (took a trip inside, nice gravel roads with a view) 2nd day after going pretty slow to maintain battery for the forest Arriving at Bokskogen, feeling welcome as allways (remembering the school excursions that used to go here,) Time for a pee(t) stop and leg stretcher before going deeper into the less EUC friendly paths or maybe i should say the funny part with trails that could take you anywhere if you dont follow path markings, but where is the fun in that :-) Was trying to find the public bathing spot at a lake nearby via GPS, but after some spikey stoned paths (no puncture thank god) i arrived at a different spot that was new to me, a pity it said private property close by (didn't even know that existed in this public area) nevermimd, there should be 3 short sandstrips on the other side according to the GPS Got close to the sandstrip position I was looking for, i think, but seemed private here too? This is not really how this place used to be? Well, battery at 50% so definitely time to start heading back, have to explore more another day. I enjoyed the views and the Tesla enjoyed the new asphalt on the bike road Admittedly, my extra excursion to the sand strip bathing place had me lost and the GPS surely didn't lead me on bicycle roads only, but at last i was closing in on Malmö. The motorway being passed below is a true sign that city life is close :-) Got home, running the last kilometers on fumes....eeehhrr i mean low battery beeps :-) but the day had been worth it, even being passed by bicyclists the last kilometer, even though it hurts my soul 😁 4 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Thank You :-) Around 32 Km day 1 and 42(50*) Km day 2 according euc.world *Log was cut every here and there day 2 due to low battery in phone (I turned off gps bluetooth when not needed) estimated 8km from the map.
