Dog drives humanoid transportation device...

My photo op locations are less residential. I'm envious....of the start.

Yesterday's ride from Boston to Salem started with a quip from someone at North Station asking 'how much does that cost ?(Monster)

My ride progressed a few blocks where I set up my new 360 camera. A group of three stopped to ask some questions....the one on the right is a scooter rider....they seemed unimpressed with the EUC and walked on. For some reason the camera took a photo while my back was turned.

Questions from a group of three including a scooter rider

I rolled by the Casino in Everett then stopped at Best Buy in Everett where I had bought my new Fusion camera and talked with an employee who (after looking at my ride video with disappearing stick)  told me how GoPro got started by some California surfers (Australian according to Wiki) looking for a way to capture action type video in a water tight device. (See Wikipedia)

Rolling along Revere beach , two girls in head to ankle Islamic dress strolled barefoot next to the ocean. Lots of kids playing in the sand and a  brother-sister pint sized duo tried passing a sponge foot ball (US type) back and forth. A moped or two whizzed along the road at Revere beach in the summer heat.

Almost home, in a moment of imitative imagining , I captured a Marty inspired Tiny Planet footage for this graphic in the grocery store parking lot.

By the time I reached home my odometer rolled a few miles past 8,000 miles (12,874 km). My squeaking Monster (shell cracks) seemed to enjoy the ride.

Humm....maybe I should just stick with cell phone images.

Some more scenes after the forest. I had to cut the ride short a bit because my batteries aren't what they used to be (or maybe my tire pressure was very low, I enjoyed some unexpected but very welcome cushy bouncyness of my beloved Chao Yang tire).

You're a legend, meepmeepmayer! Great photos, as usual. There's no one on this forum I more want to see with a new wheel under them. Get on that!

Thank you! Yes you're right, I finally need a wheel that can actually do the mountain tours I want(ed) to do in the first place instead of these flat-land substitute rides. I'm very much eyeing the current Nikola developments (2100Wh version and coming mountain tests) and am looking at the 16X as well.

I miss German beer a lot.

You've lived in Germany?

Most of the noise is the road, but if you listen closely you can hear the beer bottles clinking (right word?). Maybe it helps you a bit;)

Standard questions I get here in Sweden in order of appearance:

1. How fast is it? (Tricky to answer due to regulations, so i rather describe it as "being faster than a car when traveling in the city from point A to B")

2. How far can You travel? (Saying from the city to our closest quarry (a lovely bathing spot) and back, around 70km, normally makes people's eyes go ...WHAAT)

3. When they are curious after above, "how much does it cost"

4. Still waiting for "where can i buy it" ;-)

You'll never heard the 4th question if you answer #3 truthfully :roflmao:

You will lift them up to the sky with question #2 and slam them down to hades with question #3

Each castle needs it associated inn right next to it. That's the first smaller building. I wonder what the second could be...;)

Awesome photo of your ACM standing guard at the castle. If you ever propped your wheel up against the White House’s gate the bomb squad would be called.

I've painted mine. The holds up really well, but does scratch. Powder coated pedals would also scratch. So might not be worth the effort/expense to powder coat.

I have a solution, mount 1/4 to 1/2 knee puck (motor bike) on the pedal with ?burdock? (Google translate for the kind you can take on/off with ease with clasps) so you can remove them when going offroad.

Downside:

- less clearance (solved by shimmimg pedals to a different angle)

- no sparks at night 😆

Upsides:

- no hard edges that can grab groves in the asphalt and throw you over.

- pedals will last longer

Oh, should it look pretty too? 😁

Yeah, I think that's the last thing I want - make my pedals thicker :o I really don't care if my pedals get scratched, which doesn't happen very often anyway.

Damn what an epic ride! What was the total distance you covered?

Thank You :-)

Around 32 Km day 1 and 42(50*) Km day 2 according euc.world

*Log was cut every here and there day 2 due to low battery in phone (I turned off gps bluetooth when not needed) estimated 8km from the map. Will bring a power bank next time, didn't suspect wheel should last longer than the phone
