I'm in Auckland for a few days, but with a wheel this trip! So I thought I'd check out some of the paths through Highbrook Park...

Exploring some trails around Auckland (until it got too dark to see)!

I always forget that the sun sets much quicker when you are closer to the equator!

Is that HDR lighting? The exposure and colors turned out nice, looks like the golden hour.

Nope... it's the photo as it came off my smartphone - no post-production whatsoever.

For the record though, it looked a lot better in person!

Anyone else starting to permanently lose their calf leg hairs?

Yes, same here, though I think it's only permanent as long as one keeps riding.

Into the mountains...

Found a nice little swimming lake between rock faces.

Further in.

Panorama. You can see the distinctive pyramid-like mountain from the first picture on the left (right of the valley gap) and the rock face above the lake on the very left.

WOW!  I would wreak alot, because my eyes would not be on the road.

That's funny. Exactly what figured out today: the typical EUC ride is too fast to look at everything without hitting something. You really have to force your eyes back on the road (or stop every minute).

How many Watts do all these lights draw?

no idea, i have to use my multimeter and check, but considering that all the colors are bright white and not colored, its below the 3amp output from my step-down transformer that drives it all.

@tenofnine and @The Fat Unicyclist - you really cracked me up as I scrolled down the page. And when I showed my wife, she started laughing too.

Thanks for the smiles :roflmao:

Well the source material is just so inspiring; the possibilities are endless, but that would clog up this thread haha.

On a serious note that get up is awesome looking, being safe never looked so cool.

Rode the Monster to the beach in Marblehead earlier this week and took drone pictures to make a sphere. My go to free softwares for stitching didn't completely stitch the panorama. PTGui did with the manual addition of a few control points for the 'orphan' image (of water's surface).

Beach - Marblehead

Decided to buy a license and get a registration key. Here's the sphere without the 'watermarks'

Well, yeah, until he does a Madona on a tree branch or street sign, that is.

EDIT: no chance of that in the LA river though.
