I was feeling left behind without power pads and the cost was overwhelming so off to Hobby Lobby I went. I found some styrofoam domes that fit. I painted them, polyurethaned them, and velcroed them and shazam! Power Domes! I'm so excited; it only took 3 minutes to over  power my Z10, lol, yikes. I used glow in the dark paint, but the domes don't glow like I would have wanted. I solved another problem at the same time because since my pedals no longer close I don't have to worry about constantly flipping them up and down.

Power Domes, they work great!

It would be nice to see more photos when you have time, as @mrelwood mentioned.

I have a Z10 as well but have resisted buying leg traps power pads for it, but this might do the trick at a reasonable price, which is ?

Thanks.

My domes are glowing a lot more now at night, yay! I am still working on my paint job, so don't judge me, thanks for the compliment @mrelwood. I might craft the dome to contour my foot and shin more later, if that doesn't just happen naturally. I have actually spent like $90 so far, I could have gotten cheaper but the craft work is actually quite rewarding. As a power pad they work surprisingly well because I have like at least 12 more contact points from my shin, feet and ankles. It's so rewarding to have made something myself that increases the performance of my wheel so dramatically. And the paint and polyurethane spray work together to great a hard yet pliable and forgiving surface on the dome. Here's a picture of one of my domes so far:

Nice! Luckily you made the position adjustable. They look to be positioned a bit too back, and looks like they wouldn’t allow for riding with bent knees and accelerating with the hip. Are my guesses correct?

Yes, thankfully adjustable, I can totally bend my knees for aggressive riding. I experienced that a bit too adjustable because at first the velcro would not adhere to the styrofoam until I applied some glue. The glue is still curing, but it's fully solid now. My foot and ankle muscles are sore because I'm using alot of new small ankle and calf muscles. I actually positioned the Domes in the perfect spot for me for bent knee riding. As time goes on I will contour my domes to my personally unique foot/ankle/shin shape, but for now I'm using the more general circle shape. I could buy heel domes too, but I kinda like the foot freedom for now.

You stand in a unique position, your heels are practically in the air! I’m sure the braking power you get is magnificent. And now that you have the domes, you can also accelerate. ;)

I know my feet would kill me in a minute if I would stand in a similar position! Different strokes. :)

Thanks, I really need some larger pedals or to make extenders, but I should be getting some of Dr. Scholl's Comfort and Energy Memory Fit Insoles for Men, tomorrow!

Developments: I found that the polyurethane spray isn't thick enough and my domes don't fit right, and that the styrofoam isn't soft enough for where it connects with my inner ankle. When I removed my doams a layer of the styrofoam came off with the velcro. The dome doesn't contour my legs like I want. My power domes need to be more adjustable, shaved down, softer where they meet my legs, and  tougher. Also my pedals need to get extended.

EVA foam (yoga block, gym mattress, etc) could be a good solution, but it is quite rigid so one needs to shape it properly. I have DIY EVA pads myself.

I tried riding without my power domes and it's miserable.

I hear ya. I’d never go back to riding without pads.
