Popular Post Freestyler
@Seba informed me that the latest firmwares for veteran wheels transmit PWM information in the packets. I have looked at the following firmware versions and can confirm their PWM limit in the table below: Abrams version 2.0.15, PWM alarm at 86.6% Sherman Max version 1.1.06, PWM alarm at 82.66% Sherman S version 3.0.05, PWM alarm at 83.3% Sherman OG version 1.0.59, PWM alarm at 76% Note: Sherman OG does not transmit the PWM information in packets. I'm sure that all the apps will have this information soon (if not already). Until then, you can use euc-dash in a pinch if you have a compatible wheel and want to check your PWM: https://freestyl3r.github.io/euc-dash/veteran.html Here is a video demonstrating the above with a Sherman Max (courtesy of @supercurio) https://streamable.com/0goy9d For the really observant ones, you will notice that the wheel seems to spin a bit higher than 100%. it's true that the value is capped to 100%, but the raw PWM can go at around 102%. Marco73
Excuse me @Freestylers, you probably meant Sherman OG version 1.0.58, I don't know of a 1.0.59 version?
Freestyler
I stand corrected. Don't know what the changelog is though. You can connect with the leaperkim app to see it.
InfiniteWheelie
@Freestyler Does this mean DarknessBot will now show the exact PWM data from the wheel itself, rather than estimating like previously? How can I tell which method DarknessBot is using? I want to be sure it's using the real PWM on my Abrams, rather than estimating like before. Freestyler
I think it does, but I'm not sure. It's best to ask @Ilya Shkolnik! You can compare PWM readings between the 2 apps

AeroJero
Can someone with a Veteran Sherman OG wheel 1.0.59 firmware take a look with euc-dash into it and check if the PWM field now has data? Thanks!

Thanks! I would say no, the PWM number on the main packets screen stays at 0.0 when I push it back and forth and it doesn't change when I push it into a wall (phase current to 13A)... but maybe it needs to be ridden? Jonah Hax
Does this mean we can have dynamic tiltback on Abrams now?
