patriciooholegu
Hello. I'm a full time electronic expert whit tools and skils, spot welder and even logic analyzer at my dispose... I'm seeing my Ninebot Mini S battery loosing capacity very fast and don't think is going to last much longer. No chance to obtain another one, not even used. Not in my country (Aliexpress claims already "Not available for your country") So I'm planing to hack this in order to see if it is a chance to detect whatever the problem is and solve it... But not much hope for it. So my plan is to try to revive this battery (Maybe replacing all cells), but also to find a way to trick my little mini Pro in order to use other battery kind arrays. The first question is: Any guide about opening the battery without doing a mess? The second question should be: Wiring diagram of the battery?: In order to identify the wires that goes whit data (Hope for i2c) to the logic board, and then put the logic analyzer to record any data send from battery to logic, to make it trick that there is a REAL segway battery on it... Thanks!
jojo33
Hello @patriciooholegu The 9battery application made it possible to visualize which cell was defective but if they could not be replaced. A member @kristof_explorer has often ordered generic batteries, but they are often of poor quality. The best solution is to buy a used Mini with little mileage, but now that they are more than five years old, the batteries can be affected by bad charges, in fact, you know that 'it is necessary to make whole cycles to maintain a battery in good condition (charge, discharge) The cells are laser welded, the member @smallexis had opened the battery (you will see the tools on the first photo of the album) but as he is a specialist in batteries, he has confirmed that we cannot replace the cells. Inside battery pictures: https://photos.app.goo.gl/SkLGRoK9X37iQecAA I remember in Brazil there was a guy who had a tourist company with a lot of Minis for rent, maybe you will find a pro to buy on the Brazilian side or other way

This video looks clear about certain test and solutions to test...There is no way to import this battery to Argentina. I don't know the reason why...:
Kfirhe
1-the cells are spot welded, not laser welded. 2-you can open the battery housing using a knife-its only held by tabs. 3-i refurbished a battery, its possible but be very carefull...i used LitoKala cells-350 mha with 45c drain-amazing cell! If you can make a hack for using another battery that would be amazing! Best of luck:)
