Tawpie
I'm going to be visiting PDX later this month, mostly to do a fair bit of food truck feasting inspired by Somebody Feed Phil. But in between, I want to ride around and explore. We'll be EUC and e-bike and it appears that the parks aren't particularly PEV friendly? Forest park looks to be a hard NO as does the bulk of Washington Park. I'd kind of prefer not being in traffic etc. So I'm looking for suggestions! My e-bike rider prefers pavement, I prefer dirt so we'll kind of go anywhere and everywhere. We're staying in the East Portland/Hawthorne area (Ladd's Addition to be precise) and would like to avoid ferrying the equipment with the auto… but will make allowances. Thanks in advance. 0000
Tawpie, sounds like a nice trip - I'm actually planning on rolling through that area as well on the way to Arizona for part of the winter. You'll probably get out there before me, so please report back any nice spots if you remember to! While I haven't yet explored the Portland area on a PEV, I know Hood River has a good mix that'd suit both interests if you're willing to go ~60 more miles east. Specifically the paved historic Columbia River State Highway for the e-bike (or both), and the nearby Post Canyon for the dirt trail fix. I haven't personally experienced Post Canyon yet, but I'm anticipating it will be a good time.
Tawpie
I shall do my best to report my findings! Once we're fattened up we're heading East to the the Dalles, should be a good selection of riding out there. I'll check out Post Canyon. Perhaps I'll make a video! Nah, need a new confuser first... a machine that was hot stuff in 2011 is totally baffled by 4k video.
0000
Nice! Haha, that's a long time to hold onto a personal confuser. Last year I took on a quest to make the new laptop last as long as possible, if I can make it half as long as that I'll call it a win. Well if you post something, I'll be sure to check it out. And since it is the current year, I am obliged to inform that we are accepting of all resolutions. Except for potato. No dirty, filthy potato resolutions allowed.
