Vam Monaco
In the Begode app, there's two firmware packages. One says "RS C30" and the other says "RS C30 Accelerated stability", but there's no number that indicates what version it is or when it was released? Are these options or upgrades? Ronin Ryder
why dont you test and see? You can always install another firmware if you didnt like it.
Lets Do Science
@Ronin Ryder Uh so I just attempted to download this firmware upgrade using the begode app and now my wheel is bricked. The download/upload or whatever stopped at 30%, wheel just kept beeping and now it wont balance but the lights/screen are on. Also, when i try to redownload the firmware upgrade nothing happens and showing that there is no current version. So yeah, this is BAD. Anyone know how i can fix this? Ronin Ryder
The same happened to me (i experimented many times with Begode firmware update process). Shut off your wheel, wait, restart, and retry, phone close to your wheel. At some point the process will resume the update where it stopped. Lets Do Science
Thanks @Ronin Ryder, I can't shut off the wheel though, pressing the power button does nothing.

Lets Do Science
yes, lights and screen thing are on cannot power off wheel.
Ronin Ryder
that is weird. Last resort i would unplug the batteries, press the power button and replug, but need to be careful.
Paradox
I have heard pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds might help.
Freestyler
Damn. Why does this keep happening You need to unplug the batteries from the controller (one plug) like Ronin said. You then need to empty the capacitors, by trying to power on the wheel 1-2 times. After that, you can reconnect the batteries with the controller. The influx of power to the now empty capacitors of the controller will cause a spark at the plug, so you need to plug it back decisively and avoid prolonging the spark (which eventually wears out the connection) Try to power on the wheel after that and see if you can flash it once again (if it's not already working) Check out this thread as well. There is a combination that might help you to "place" the wheel in a firmware receive mode. Edited March 29, 2022 by Freestyler

Lets Do Science
@Freestyler Okay. So i opened by wheel and i disconnected the connections (yellow connection bridge) that was going into the black box covering. When i put it back in i heard a pop. Turning the wheel on, the screen light on reading no battery life and zeros across the board. The firmware upgrade is still showing no current version, not continuing to download anything. @Bizra6ot I'm an andoid user, im using my coworkers iphone to use the begode app and do all this. Bizra6ot
Yeah unfortunately most of the failures I saw were on iOS, if you have the choice for the next people who want to upgrade use an Android As you also have an Android, maybe try to restart/continue the procedure with this one, hoping that you will solve your problem my friend Edited March 29, 2022 by Bizra6ot
Lets Do Science
@Bizra6ot There is no begode app on the andoid store, which is why i had to use my coworkers iphone to do this.
Bizra6ot
You need to DL it from the Begode website http://www.begode.com/app
Freestyler
If the Android app doesn't work, try this procedure as well:
BeastMode
Hi, which firmware should be used for commander HS ?
Freestyler
There is no commander firmware listed in the official Begode app. Not even a Hero one. Although the RS firmware would fit the hero since it shares the same components. Connect to this site if you want https://freestyl3r.github.io/euc-dash/begode.html to see what is the reported wheel name.
Lets Do Science
My wheel is still 100% bricked btw, do NOT try to run firmware update guys it aint worth it. I'll likely be having to send this back to EUCO for fix, $200 out of pocket to ship and weeks not being able to ride because of this crud. Popular Post Freestyler
This shouldn't happen. The wheel has a special firmware update mode. Entering this mode changes the protocol to Ymodem. This protocol does not reside in the flashable firmware from what I understand. In this protocol the wheel no longer reports regular data, but is accepting firmware. You can place the wheel in this mode by software through a special command sequence. These commands reside in the flashable firmware, so that's no longer an option if you flashed a bad / partial firmware. The wheel should also have a hardware way to enter this mode though. Probably by the combination showed in the video above. I think it's the reverse button sequence of transport mode. Pay attention to the instructions: Unplug & plug in back the power. Your wheel should be off now. Press the power button, don't let go, press the lift cutoff button 5 times, the buzzer should sound & the red on board LED should slowly flicker now This is probably the first thing you need to do after reconnecting the batteries. If you try to open the wheel normally (without doing the above procedure) the wheel will "brick" again and require disconnecting the batteries once again to restart the process. It makes no sense for the wheel to brick, because the firmware update code cannot not be overridden (cannot confirm 100% on this). If you want to give it another go before sending the wheel back, we can chat in telegram and try to drop the wheel in / out of the firmware update process. Ronin Ryder
Have u tried with an android phone? Have u tried @Freestylerprocedure? Wait till sending to your dealer. Popular Post Freestyler
I made a video to demonstrate how to enter & exit the firmware update mode. It might take you some tries until you succeed (the timing is finicky) and you might have only one chance every time you reconnect the batteries (not sure about that). You can also start & exit from the firmware update mode through software commands. They are implemented in my euc-dash project through console only commands for now. *at the start of the video I meant place the wheel (not mode) in the firmware update mode Edited April 1, 2022 by Freestyler 2 2
Popular Post Lets Do Science
@Freestyler EDIT: IT'S FIXED I did @Freestyler strategy a few more times and it started doing the beeping (accept firmware), i was able to finish the upgrade and my wheel WORKS again. Very grateful to everyone helping me through trying time lol, this is the best community. Hold lift switch 2. Hold the power on button 3. Release the lift switch 4. Press the lift switch multiple times until you hear the beeps Its a bit annoying and half the times I didn't manage to do it myself. (5 out of 10) Can you power off your wheel after you power it on and the display is blank or you need to remove the batteries?
