Chooch Tangent (split off from the S20 Megathread)

@Forwardnbak that's a good point, Chooch's content contributed to bringing me in.
I just wish that nowadays the commentary would age better instead of 😬 once you know better.

At least he's pretty open about being a salesman (it was in a video where he was describing how good he would be at selling the S20 if he was sent one), and there's no doubt it's what he's optimizing for.

Selling wheels also encourages to bring more people to the hobby, so I guess there's a win here.

I stopped watching Cooch a while back. There are lots of other folks I'd rather watch anyways.

Hyjack alert -- are you able to take an EUC on any trails around Cumberland? Or are the local mountain bikers like the old school turf ragin' surfers?

Chooch was the first video, and the first time, I ever saw an EUC back when the msuper v3 was his main wheel. I was going to buy a scooter, his video was in the related ones after watching a scooter review.....I didn't even think about a scooter after seeing this kid flying around on that contraption.

I then was lucky enough to stumble onto Ewheels looking for where you buy one.

I miss the riding videos, I'm still entertained, but the riding sells the wheels just fine.

Most people I know think it looks cool and won't try it. I don't think many of us needed to be sold, we just someone riding one and immediately wanted to ride one too.

I'll always have a soft spot for chooch because I love this hobby, but the flying down sidewalks, and crazy riding around bystanders isn't cool. As far as stabbing goes, I wasnt there so who knows. Chooch isn't a large dude so I could see a situation where outta pure fear a knife could be used to get away....of the victim was covered in coffee and mace, and stabbed twice (which it looks like he was) that gets pretty hard to defend. The coffee alone should have made enough space to get away.

Afghanistan has huge cultural problems that chooch doesn't cower from acknowledging. Same thing with questioning the vaccine mandates.

"Inbred", "backwoods", "redneck", notice how acceptable it is to use these labels towards a white male.

But not Afghanis.

I'm guessing most of us fall in this racist spectrum...at least I do.

Really, I thought we were better than then this but I guess I'm not use to Reddit drama. It's one of the breeding grounds for the worst people on the internet but what do you expect from a site that thinks it's okay to invite Epistien to their Christmas parties.

I read the comment he made in the link provided by the OP, and I think if that's the only comment that everyone says he's such a bad person for, then I don't think it's that big of a deal personally, especially coming from a young guy like chooch. The once President of The United States, Donald Trump, who is also a  "grown up" at the ripe age of 75, said thousands of things way worse than that and half the country loved him supposedly, so there's your logic for ya

Yea I understand completely. I wasn’t a fan of his attitude towards other riders so also haven’t watched in a while.
At the start he definitely helped hook me into EUC, so the hype did get me. I think growing this community in anyway will help us all in the long run.

personally, I haven't seen him have any negative attitude toward any riders beyond that one guy he raced with in the white, but what that guy said about chooch made chooch look like a saint in comparison. it was very mild thing chooch said and addressed it somewhat maturely imo...Zen, or whatever his name is, called him a "virgin who needs to get laid and ot move out of mommy and daddy's basement and stop mooching money from them"...so why is chooch the one getting hated on again?

Trump will end his historically unpopular presidency with lowest approval ever.

Trump had the weakest average approval rating of any of his predecessors since the survey began in the 1940s.

Trump’s final approval rating of 34% is the same received by Presidents George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter in their final Gallup polls. Truman was the lowest at 32%.

President Barack Obama left office with a 59% approval rating.

Trump’s average approval rating across his term, 41.1%, is the lowest measured by Gallup, 4 percentage points lower than Truman.

Most of the time if i’m watching a riding video, not a technical one. I listen to a podcast or something and just have the visuals playing.

Correct. Ghislaine Maxwell was a big leader of Reddit, shaping public discourse as the most powerful international news super-moderater. She also helped shape public discourse in her relations with the on-the-books executives of Reddit.

And who provoked the Afghanistan collapse and refugee crisis? Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was childhood friends with Ghislaine Maxwell because their fathers were business partners working for Israeli intelligence.

"Blinken's paternal grandfather, Maurice Henry Blinken, was an early backer of Israel who studied its economic viability,[11] and his great-grandfather was Meir Blinken, a Yiddish writer.[12]

Blinken attended the Dalton School in New York City until 1971.[6] He then moved to Paris with his mother Judith and Samuel Pisar, whom she married following her divorce from Donald."

"Pisar was the longtime lawyer and confidant of Robert Maxwell. Pisar was possibly the last person to speak to Maxwell before he allegedly fell from his luxury yacht in November 1991."

I've heard that. What I don't like about Reddit is how it is ground zero for cancel campaigns. Everytime I hear them mentioned it's in association with a smear campaign against someone who their hive mind disagrees with. Usually it's without evidence or nuasuan and is obviously just because they want to defame someone they can't stand. Most people can decide for themselves if someone is a bad influence which is why I normally avoid sites like Reddit or cable/opinion news networks. My opinion on Chooch is take him with a grain of salt. He's selling something and a daredevil but he doesn't do anything hateful on any of the videos. I have have seen other EUC YouTubers attack him though. There was a lot cheating accusations against him from one guy who seemed pretty bitter who made a bunch videos defaming him and was the main ring leader in trying to push this defamation.

Yeah and the guy's name is "Zen". Reddit is ground zero for the developing totalitarian nanny state. Everybody with a victim/weak identity who gets a sense of power from being part of a mob and public internet lynchings.

Kind of like how hyenas and coyotes are cowards when alone, but rip you to shreds when they have enough numbers.

If hyenas and coyotes could speak, the first thing they'd tell you about is their moral righteousness and their "empathy".

Wasn't a truck.

It was a road rage incident with a car driver.

Chooch claims self defence.

Seven witnesses provided statements to police.

If the seven witnesses corroborated Chooch's self defence claims, it would seem unlikely that police would charge him with assault.

Unicycle-Riding Assault Suspect: Police Got It Wrong

DENVER (CBS4) – A young Denver man claims he was attacked while riding his electric unicycle, but police have a different story, and are charging the him with assault after he stabbed the victim twice.

“I was defending my life and my property,” said Colton Gregory.

The incident happened around 7:45 on April 27. Gregory says he was riding his electric unicycle around town, a hobby in which he’s logged thousands of miles. He crossed 20th Street at Chestnut Place when the altercation occurred.

“The victim became engaged in a verbal argument with the defendant. The defendant then spit in the Victim’s face, threw coffee on him, and maced the victim,” according to a probable cause document for Gregory’s arrest.

“I never did any of this,” Gregory said.

“This guy had opened his car door and was running at me. He came up to me and was over me like this; he was a lot taller than me looking over me and shoved me. I stay prepared: carry a pocketknife, pepper spray, flashlight, everything like that every single day. I used the pepper spray as he was attacking me,” Gregory said.

“At last option I had to use my knife to get this guy off of me and I defended myself rightfully and now I’m facing criminal charges over this. That knife I had on me that day happened to save my life.”

The court documents say Gregory stabbed the victim in the right abdomen and in the right hand, then fled on his unicycle and was later found near the train tracks west of Coors Field.

Seven witnesses provided statements to police but Gregory is hoping a good Samaritan who tried to break up the fight will come forward to corroborate his story.

“This was the most violent thing that’s ever happened to me in my life. I’ve never had to scream and fight and kick like that in my life before, it was brutal,” Gregory said.
