Well, he's been riding EUCs a lot longer than you have, and has tested and owned as many as Marty. He's also a very experienced and talented rider, and his videos have entertainment value.

Riding experience and skills doesn't automatically makes someone a great reviewer. It's a different set of skills.
I notice invalid statements once in a while, like him saying that the "V12 has the same motor as the Veteran Sherman" (because they're both rated at 2500W)
Then when I notice, I leave a comment with a correction - which is left without reply.

I mean, one of his previous video was called "THE KINGSONG S20: OFFICIAL REVIEW" after test riding it for 15 minutes.

Agree there's entertainment value and he can show cool off-road riding in interesting environments.
For accurate information and unbiased opinion tho, or reviews, he's not the right source.

I admit he have some skills and missing self-preservation instinct, I saw his nice video trail of S20. But even with this experience he was able to make S20 a mole and denny his error.
Nices video, but thats all.

And what exactly does your opinion contribute to this topic, and why does your opinion matter?

Are you creating any content that has value?

His video is what it is. No need to disrespect the man.

I find it hard to take many of the EUC youtubers too seriously these days.. Even the ones i used to like are pretty easy to see through lately. I stopped watching chooch when the whole half e-bike naming thing came along.

I do like watching the drama between the youtubers though.. Its like watching the real housewives of EUC.

Even the s20 tours being done by some of the distributors are a bit easy to see through. It great to get footage and some opinions on the wheel, but i have to take it all with a grain of salt.. Considering the ones doing it, are selling the crap out of 3,000 dollar wheel.

If you think the videos that he produces where every new wheel he rides is the best wheel he ever rode and you the viewer should buy it brings value to you that's great but for a lot of us it's not so useful in a practical sense, but it is entertaining to see him ride as he's got skills don't think anyone denies that.

Oh boy this topic sure is something. Please try to keep the discussion as constructive as you can. For example, the post above this can be seen as a pretty clever criticism of Chooch and his current video style, or as a just an insult and not much more. Let's try and be careful please

Personally, I can't hate on someone making EUC videos, and Chooch made plenty of really good ones. Haven't watched his latest videos, though, and I don't know what kind of person he is, so I can't say much on that.

I like to watch him ride. Talk? Well, I have a saying: consider the source. I have to apply that to every youtube video, especially reviews. What I like isn't what anyone else likes, and droning on and on about the things I like over and over is something I love do so I need to allow others to do the same. I calibrate all of them... they are just people trying to make a bit of coin and sharing their enthusiasm for wheeling. They're not oracles. At least not to me!

haven't watched much half-ebike content. he might or might not have changed but at least he seems to have upgraded to "half-dirtbike" with the S20

People tend to conflate an expert rider as also someone who is a good and decent person. Sort of like Tiger Woods because he is a great golfer means he is also a great human being/husband.

I don’t know Chooch personally but I have to laugh when his defenders come out. Yes, he’s a good rider no argument there.

I have read he stabbed a person because he thought someone was going to steal his wheel. He posted a rascist rant on Reddit that got discovered and reposted that ended with him deleting his Choochtech account. He steals content and adds his own affiliate links to profit off others work. He “cheats” in races by not holding the line. The latest controversy is falsely accusing evX of knowingly sending him a broken S20 and whining about it on Facebook. And his Colorado neighbors aren’t too fond of him ripping around town on his various EUCs. Seems he is a bit of a local celebrity but not in a good way.

These are just facts… interpret as you wish.

I'll freely admit he's a far better rider than me and his videos can be fun to watch but I really don't agree with how he rides around others and I think he often brings the "sport" into disrespect. I saw one video where he was riding UP a downhill mountain bike trail and forcing riders coming down to get off the path - I wasn't impressed by that. Another had him on an off road route being used by a bunch of cyclists - they were shouting at him to slow down and he was complaining they were in his way. Another had him on a walking trail and the ranger asked him to walk as he was damaging the path (the paths were almost certainly maintained by volunteers) - he said he would then sped off on the EUC. Then there's all the videos where he's riding at full tilt on the sidewalk - sure he's probably skilful enough to avoid a pedestrian but accidents do happen. It doesn't bother me at all when he's riding at full tilt down a deserted mountain road but when there are others about he needs to understand that people can get hurt and ride respectfully. Then there's the latest story where he was arrested for knifing someone - he said he was defending himself but I wonder if someone just got pissed off with how he was behaving on a wheel?

Unicycle-Riding Assault Suspect: Police Got It Wrong

Sounds like road-rage escalation (can happen with any vehicle really).

Here's a video that explains really well what happens and gives advice to avoid terrible escalation like in Chooch's story.
A must watch IMO for any EUC rider interacting with cars, myself included.

I don't see any problems with any youtube video makers. As long as they completely agree with me. If you didnt know by now, let me assure you. MINE is the only valid opinion to be found. My opinions are so concise and well thought out that I alone am who EVERYONE calls upon, when they need something fact checked. If you can't tell, I am also the best euc rider in the world. To the uninformed, I may seem like just a hack. For those that know, they bank on what I produce, as Gospel.

Now here's the best part. Since I typed the above paragraph, it can now go down in history as obvious fact. Thats right, I said it, it must be true. Don't forget to visit MY channel, for pearls of absolute wisdom. Being all knowing, I dont need to monetize your views, I will just simply absorb your soul. The cigarettes I smoke during my vids, are the ashes of previous viewers who dared defy me..

I’m an artist and art school also likes to measure everyone’s creativity. Everyone has a different vision of how to make things, sometimes things aren’t made for you etc you aren’t their audience  

they might make content for their own reason, therapy expression etc making is the reason for some people. 
 

Many people don’t understand someone’s art and put it down, they are just measuring from different standards and they aren’t the audience. 
 

I would much rather watch any EUC video than much of what’s on tv. 
 

plus I watched other forums when politics divide community, even a bad YouTube channel is still an EUCer. 
 

I’ll watch anyone making anything, good or bad you gotta start somewhere. Also need feedback to grow, so constructive opinions do help.

Yea I understand completely. I wasn’t a fan of his attitude towards other riders so also haven’t watched in a while. 
At the start he definitely helped hook me into EUC, so the hype did get me. I think growing this community in anyway will help us all in the long run.
