V8S no power, Tire doesn't free turn

Very new rider and new unit. Unit falls while I'm trying to balance. Many times. When picking it up, the spin starts. Before I can hit the switch, the tire hits the pavement momentarily then makes a noise. Now, no power, charger doesn't light it up and the tire doesn't free turn.  Unplugged the battery, but nothing. Only 2 days old but is there something I can look at?

If the tire doesn't turn normally, that's very likely a fried board. As the wheel is new, it was bad (and thus failed) from the start. Contact your seller, let them send you a brand new wheel. I wouldn't bother with self-repair or possibly the risk some other cause (though that is very unlikely) with a just bought wheel.

The tire will always have some resistance and you can feel the magnets when you turn it. But if the tire needs a lot of effort to turn or is essentially locked, that's a fried board shorting the power circuit and thus blocking the tire.

Sorry, shitty situation, not what you want when you are excited about a shiny new device. Let your seller figure it out and send you a new wheel.

I did find a shorted FET-- 023N10N5.  Hard to find on the intertubes

Don't bother if your wheel is only 2 days old. Let your seller send you a new one.

Or did you buy a used wheel?

If anything, you need a new board. But the repair is work, and the seller's job.

He is sending a new control board. I do electronics for a living so not a big deal. I can get the board a whole lot quicker then sending the unit back.  I do what you're saying though.

If the lift switch under the handle wasn’t working, make sure you have it turned on in the Settings page on the App.  Hope you get sorted, My first wheel was a V8f…wonderful thing…a great wheel to learn on, and much, much more.. I always have mine in the car as a shopping wheel.
