They look great!

The white one works as headlamp? I suppose it is very week...

I stepped up my game

Originally tried taking this thing apart, but burnt it out trying to connect it for power, but its where the front piece of the front headlight came from: http://usd.knog.com.au/bike/lights/blinder-mob-the-face.html

All lights wired in to internal LED power

All Lights sprayed with clear PlastiDip for waterproofing: http://www.amazon.com/Performix-11209-Multi-Purpose-Coating-Aerosol/dp/B000LNN11G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455419105&sr=8-1&keywords=Clear+Plastidip

Foot pedals sprayed with Bondo Rubberized undercoating (takes a lot of patience to work with): http://www.amazon.com/Bondo-737-Rubberized-Undercoat-Aerosol/dp/B000CIRD3C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455419204&sr=8-1&keywords=bondo+rubberized+undercoating

All white plastic covered with custom vinyl covers made by some 9bot1 fans in my hometown NYC http://www.howwerollwheels.com/http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017BUFE16?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00

Front, Back & Sides have black reflective tape, some shots I intentionally shined late to show them: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00063XI64?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01

I spray painted the trolley holder matte black

I found that this guitar stand holds it really well, and folds up: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016CP76E4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s03

If anyone is interested this is my gear bag for when I'm on my 9bot, which is always, it actually holds the 9bot1 in between the connectable front piece & Its got laser cut molle, which is awesome.

I'll spare you all the attachments and doodads I've compiled onto my bag

Incredibly the bag itself came in another bag that was a perfect fit for the wheel as a quick carry, I keep it folded up. Note the two length handles. IMG_0074.thumb.jpeg.cf8e144959e29f714712 in my bag and lined the bottom with cork to carry into buildings when it wet/snowy/muddy outside so as not to ruin peoples floors

Do you know how many amps are you drawing from the internal +5v led strip bus?

I do not know which is the current limit it can supply, but in the worst case, your motherboard could loose the +5V supply, which will be very bad for the internal processor, and hence for anybody over the wheel.

Cranium did some idle power measurements and found the original led-strips to be drawing between 75 and 185mA ("Breathing"-light effect, white light). So staying inside those amps should still be safe? As for the voltage step-down: " The control board uses a LM2596-50 Buck step down converter to get 5V which would power the lights as well as the other IC's on the board.  This converter is capable of 3A or 15W of power so it could be a limitation of design.".

Ok, now I "LoJacked" it...

Its not a real LoJack, but it is a mini GPS Unit powered from the internal battery. It has a SIM card with a prepay account on it, so I send it a text message and it texts me back its GPS location and a link to the map.

To bring the direct 60V from batter down to 12V for the unit I needed to use this:

Loving this simple solution to lighting StreetMeatNYC - ordered similar items from the popular auction site on line and will be experimenting before the end of the week :D

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Glad it inspired...

Btw, I upped my game a little again. I ordered one of these, glued it to the frame, and covered it with black vinyl car wrap. Much brighter

Well, with my order arriving in super fast time I grabbed the chance to fit a new rear and headlight to the NineBot - inspired by StreetMeatNYC's example :D

Extremely happy with the result (surprising what a few beers can do on a Friday evening!  Excuse the silly grin on my ugly mug!) - they glow pretty bright - excuse the floodlit carpark as demo - the Aqua at the front really lights the way ;)

Better still, they're not heavy and won't fall off during transport in the car if I knock it against something which keeps happening with the previous 'bicycle lights' I had glued to the frame.

Cheers, Richard.
