MCM5v2 Disable LEDs?

Hi,
My new wheel just arrived, and I have a question:

Is there anyway to turn the LEDs off? I want to ride this to my gym and have it look innocuous as possible. I am hoping the guys at the counter won't even notice it so I can bring it in and store it in a locker. I am worried if the wheel draws attention to itself they may say I need to leave it outside on a bike rack.

If not, I'll put tape over the LEDs.

Thanks,

Jay

All Gotway wheels (including the MCM5) allow you to cycle through LED modes by shortpressing the power button over and over. 3 presses should get you to the next LED mode. There should be one with all LEDs turned off, IIRC.

Mcm5v2 supports 5 different LED states. 0 through 4. 0 is off for many gotway wheels, but for this model it's just another mode.

I'm afraid you have to cover it. At least in mode 0, only a small strip at the front is illuminated.

This is my first wheel and I am still encountering the infancy of the technology. EUCWorld shows mine having maybe 10 modes but several of them seem to be identical in what they display. Crazy.

Thanks,

Jay

All the cycles on this one has the LEDs on in some configuration or another.  Tape it is.

Ha. Not being an Apple guy, I had to look up what an Air-Tag was after @GothamMike explained where he put his. Now I understand why he did it via PM.  All the time, I was thinking of one of these glue-on security loops. We used to use these securing computers in public laboratories at the University. If I had to lock my wheel to a bike rack at the gym, I was thinking about where to put one of those.
