Popular Post Vanturion
I've lurked a bit, earned some shell damage in the meantime, and finally made some EUC modifications before now saying hello. I'm still a little rough with my starts, but everything else is going well now so I'm hoping to do some group rides soon when I get a little more confident with getting on my wheel. It's funny, I can already reminisce about the times how 25 KPH felt like 25 MPH! Anyway, I wanted to make a small introduction gift to the forum (for anyone with a busted Begode display holder) and to show off my mods a bit since I've been pretty busy with the 3D printer. A month back I got some wobbles into a corner at speed and went down which sent the wheel tumbling. I've since picked up some Clark bumpers which are great, but I wanted a bit more protection than that seeing so I ended up making some additional TPU armor. Some of the parts serve a dual purposes like the handle strip which elongates the grip on the handle allowing the cutoff switch to be easily triggered every time you pick up the wheel. Also I have to say, after watching MADpack's review of the Grizzla pad's, I was inspired to make a version of them since they seemed like the most optimal design out there. Very happy with how they turned out. Probably the last upgrade I want to make is to change the tire to something like the Kenda K66, but I will probably hold off on that for some time. Anyway, I'm planning on taking a trip south in my campervan, probably to AZ in January, it'd be great to get plugged into any meetup groups along the way if anyone wants to share a Telegram or such. From what I can tell it looks like FB is the easiest way to get plugged into group-rides, but I'm still trying to not be on the bigger social media sites if I can help it. -Alex
