I completely agree. You summed it up much better than I could, with much fewer words...  If one could still find a new 67v for $500, its a no brainer. The trouble arises from its closeness in price to the mcm5 nowadays. Since they dont include FPM (fun per mile) in the specs sheet its tough to decide.

I was fortunate enough to get one of the last 67v versions from Euco. They were not restocked. They now only sell the 84v versions. The cheapest is$1000.00. They also included their house branded cover. That has saved the shell from getting banged up. The pedals are banged up though.

Price is a consideration... my 67V has very limited 'utility'—it really is a toy, so being able to pick it up super cheap was key. As is, I'm not bummed at all letting the thing sit around waiting for the weekend trash patrol, or using it for 10 minutes and putting it away. At the price for the 84V, I want to be able to do the last 10 mile commute without face planting myself, and go up and down curbs, and maybe a little run across a field or down a dirt footpath (I can't say off dirt footpaths). I'd really want to be getting a little more use out of a $900+ wheel than I can with an MTen... funny thing is, now that I have 'the toy', I don't feel the need for the MCM at all—even though there's a niche for it in my life.

The price hike and absolving of the 67v mten, is what prompted me to buy a second when they were almost gone. I didnt need it and they both work, but $800+ is pushing it for sure...

Just to put a counterpoint in this thread, at 200 lbs ive had my 84v mten3 cut out and drop me on asphalt at 15mph.

riding it on an average lawn is an adventure that will fling me off about once an hour as it gets stuck in a microdepression

i still love it, the wheel i ride the most, but my eyebrows went all the way up when i see someone suggest it for trail riding. That does Not make sense unless youre some sort masochistic plus euc virtuoso

Make no mistake, I don't recommend the MTen for anything other than well maintained pavement! An MCM5 on the other hand, would be "interesting".

MTen3 84V all the way.
It's a great value not because it's the most wh per dollar, but because it's the most fun per dollar!
ATGATT btw.

That's a great way to put it. Maybe the mcm5 would be a great first wheel. The novelty of something like an mten3 is appealing. I tried to order the 84v 512 wh version from Chicway but was told after buying it that they were out of stock lol. So then I promptly bought a used e+ for rainy days. The mten3 still seems awesome.
