Exercise ? Stretching? Flexibility?

OK our ages run the full range.  I'm middle aged and took to riding very quickly but know that one of the most important thing about avoiding injury is ability to move quickly if needed.

Does anyone warm up before riding?  Stretching type exercises?    Seems like the older we get the less flex in movement.

I warm up simply by riding more carefully and with less acceleration first. After ive been riding for two hours i can dance on the wheel as easily as i would on the floor. 

Stretching before riding may be a good idea though
