Popular Post EUCandME Posted September 21, 2021 Author Popular Post Posted September 21, 2021 Well guys I did it! Today my V10F arrived! I’m in love. I still find myself chilling around 15mph but the ability to burst past cyclists makes me feel so smug! It felt like a whale for handling at first compared to my nimble S2. But the comfort and torque is night and day. I can’t believe how different wheels feel. And how big a 2.5”/16” wheel actually is! 8 Quote
Menace Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Iv'e gotten the Rs up to 47 mph (75kph) and would be very happy to have a faster wheel. Give me 60 mph and I'll probably be very pleased. But for the most part I am content cruising at around 40 mph, 60 mph would just be really nice for bursts. Quote
Popular Post RockyTop Posted September 22, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2021 I got my old MSuper V3s+ up to 37mph twice. Once without without face planting! 4 Quote
Popular Post littlebigmac Posted September 22, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2021 I typically cruise around 20-25mph on my 16x (I have tiltback set at 25 so I don’t break my face) and while this is fine and dandy for just cruising around, I’m really itching for a bit more speed because of two reasons: 1) I ride on city streets where traffic typically flows around 30-35 mph. Being able to keep up with cars (and still have headroom to accelerate if needed) would be a game changer. 2) My current cruising speed makes me a perfect rabbit for hardcore cyclists to chase. Several times now I’ve gotten an unsettling feeling while riding along a bike path, only to look behind me to discover a panting cyclist 10 inches behind my wheel, riding my draft like some sort of post-apocalyptic Tour de France. And to make matters worse, once they’re done hitching a free ride, they’ll sprint past me, leaving me in the dust to reflect on my fragile ego. Can’t have that! My ideal speed would be around 35-40mph. I have my eye on either the S20 or v12 (but could be swayed by the Abrams or Commander once some of the reviews start coming out). 6 Quote
Popular Post Flying W Posted September 22, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 22, 2021 "riding my draft like some sort of post-apocalyptic Tour de France." Best mental image of the week! I'm picturing mad max on wheels seeking out the remaining electrons from almost dead packs liberated from the decaying wheels scattered across the apocalyptic desert and fighting wars over left over solar panels..... Okay, maybe happy was longer than an hr tonight. 6 Quote
Carl Svanfelt Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Begode T3 (Tesla) feels comfortable at all speeds but I ride it on my favorite speed 35 km/h (22 mi/h). At this speed it gives a maximum distance of 80 km (50 mi). My weigh is 79 kg (174 lb). The Tesla V3 absorbs damages on the asphalt very vell and the wheel feels safe over bumps and potholes. Quote
That Guy Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 There is also another aspect of being able to go fast and (therefore) going fast - which part of the road to use. When a wheel can only do 20mph you probably won't be mixing with the cars. Then there is something intermediate of 25-30mph when you will be getting on the side of the road on quiet streets or slower streets in town centre. And then you grow into performance machines that allow you to go really fast - so you can ride with the cars within the suburbia and even on slower secondary motorways... So, I guess, it may look like this: And here comes the question - where would the local laws allow you to be on your EUC?... ;-) 3 Quote
