That certainly didn't look like anything that should have gotten you—but the flex in the board... if your tire was touching the metal edge and the board flexed downward, you wheel would swivel onto the metal and feel very much like you hit your pedal on a rock. But I'm glad you're not badly hurt and should recover without having to let the surgeons sharpen their knives!
