Tryptych
I have the most recent Sherman. I want my PSI as low as possible, but I also don't want my rim getting damaged. So... what is the best compromise? What PSI would you recommend for me?
DjPanJan
@Tryptych witch tire offroad? If offroad i ride 28 to 26Psi and i am over 260lbs. I no make any jumps or crazy stuff like high curbs jumps. Good info, I am surprised your PSI is so low at your weight. At 160lb I am using 28 PSI because I am afraid to damage the rim, but I guess I can drop down a bit more. Is anyone else doing under 28?

Personally I like to ride as hard as I comfortably can to maximize range and responsiveness, so I ride the Sherman off-road styled tires at 26-30 psi. But if I’d ride a bit more calmly, I’d have no problem going with 25 psi. I weigh 103kg (227 lbs). Overall, a low pressure or rider weight are not what solely causes punctures or rim damage. It’s your speed and the terrain you ride in as well. Going slow on tarmac? Go down to 20 psi if you want. Going fast over roots and sharp rocks? Don’t go below 25 psi, and mind your riding technique.

I'm almpost 240 lbs and I use about 27 Psi, which I think is just perfect. I don't need less, even now it sometimes feel a little weird (like riding on mud), but no problem. I had more, but 30+ Psi felt really hard. Not comfortable, felt like I'm getting kicked off a lot.
Phi1osopher
I weight between 230 and 260 when riding, depending on gear and whether or not I have my big bubble machine attached... I try to keep my tire at 40psi all the time.

MexicanBatman
That’s because Michael killed me if you followed that line but in the below video it leaves the ground a few times and there was lots more but I don’t film everything however I did the drop at least a dozen times still no match for the Gotway monster V3 off that type of drop though the very end of the video is real-time not sped up i haven’t been going silly, because I know it’ll break so for now until my EUC supplier gets spare rims I’m going to just ride easy, well sort of…

And so did Michael in fact. But yeah, I felt so bad after Michael killing you that I missed you bad enough to have to start all over again! 6 hours ago, Trevor Phillips said: the very end of the video is real-time not sped up Deer lord… The rate you accelerate at when sorting gives me the jeebies! Nice video! The tire even stays afloat better than I’d have expected at 23.5 psi.
