Inmotion v8s

What do you think of it? I like it!

I'm thinking of a wheel for my gf, 49kg, not too tall, not reckless at all... this seems the perfect wheel.

Now she is learning on my very old ks14d and just learned how to go on her own and take easy turns (it took months 😂) and I'm sure she'll be addicted to riding very very soon.

Also ks16s 840 should be equal, but v8s would be guaranteed to have fresh new battery packs, and is a revision but still new product... new cells... top quality, and looks so nice...

Too bad for the absence of speakers.

The 728Wh with 84V sound like a 20s2p config with 21700 cells?

If one does not empty or burden these battery too much It could be ok, but from my gut feeling just two cells in parallel is not recommendable, especially with 21700?

However, for

it could work out and it's an improvement over the ks14d.

However i would trust more in the 840Wh ks16s with 4 18650 cells in parallel.

Ps.: Forget the "up to 70 km" range given for example an the french website - that's ridiculous!

The V8 is quite sufficient for a 49 kg person, luckily that weight. This wheel is ideal in town, reliable in light rain, a successful design. For use without the priority of correct autonomy in the suburbs, it is light (by train, bus, metro, tram) and easy to handle. The charging time is quite short for this size.

I forgot there was this difference in configuration, still I though it was a very relevant thing only with more performance oriented wheels or heavy riders. But I'm sure it's preferable anyway, but maybe the chance to get a wheel that's been in a stock for years with old unused cells outweighs the 4p benefit? Maybe if we go for the 16s we can just look for a good used deal and save some €€€.

About the 70 range, I'm sure I'd never get even close to that, but a light girl that likes chilled rides could even get this far maybe.

Last week I lended my 14d 340w to a kid in a group ride and we did 15km without hearing the "low battery" alarm, that should be at 40%

2 months ago I saw a used 16s v2 840w on sale for 700€... if something like that shows up again when it's time, it could be a good deal
