I hope that's not the case...

It's possible. The latest models are the S MAX (actually on Indiegogo), and the Kid "NANO" model which will soon be sold outside China (FCC ok). There is also the upcoming US release of the PS0004 Ninebot Mecha Kit model. (FCC ok)
S Plus stocks are being liquidated, the price in China has fallen sharply, and even the Loomo is being liquidated in China. The production lines are used for a new electric bike, the future APEX motorcycle, new versions of kickscooters, and electric mopeds. The Mini range does not have enough success. The basic Mini "S" surely remains in a good position for its low production cost. However, on July 26, Ninebot China posted 193 job vacancies. With some dedicated to the Latin American market. Numerous offers in packaging design and others in research, batteries and intellectual property, in summary it is a whole team to launch new products.

Ninebot was launched on the stock market earlier this year in China, and has gained much success.

I think that the Mini alone are not profitable, the MINI + Go Kart combination is more interesting but still remains a niche product. I am still awaiting the release of the Mini "Dynamic" which appears in compatibility list models in a manual of Go Kart Pro.

The Mini S Max is now available separately in the US. I guess they are trying to sell it now at 2-3x the price point to make a profit, but they still don't sell parts separately for it, so i can't buy one until i can buy spare batteries.
