KS18XL 2.0 firmware throttle

I have pretty much decided to get the KS18XL as my first euc and probably will no matter what the response from this is but I just wana know if the throttle on the 2200 motor wheel is actually at 50% instead of 25%. I was looking on Ewheels and they have updated the page to show the 2200 motor but everything else on the page uses the 25% throttle as marketing to make it look better but if the throttle really is at 50% then they make absolutely no mention of it on the page. and for people who say that the 50% is only for the 2200 wheel and that is why they don't mention it that is just wrong, they don't even sell the wheel with the old motor anymore and should update the information because a 25% to 50% jump is pretty massive in my eyes if they still use the 25% as advertisement. But if not then cool.

What is it you specifically want to know.

I don't understand this 50% vs 25% idea. It may be used by a particular seller for things like range, but overall it's not needed.

To compare wheels, use this spreadsheet (not mine, nor maintained by me):

https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=5C7F7C96B9CB240D!453580&ithint=file%2cxlsx&authkey=!AH72KLYXambSLHc

The KS18XL is essentially the same as my wheel (S18) but it has the full battery array.

Speed is 31 mph maxed out.

Range is 60 Miles on average, and I imagine this is what you meant by throttle position. This will change with how you ride. For me, a 10 mile 'spirited' ride, hitting 30mph often will leave me with 75% range. So safe to say after 25 miles, I would hit the 40% 'low voltage zone' and then have to ride slower. I am yet to do this, but in total I could expect 35 - 40 miles total range even with 25 of those being at 80 - 98% throttle. The stated ranged for my wheel is 45 miles. Using similar guess work, even on an aggressive ride, with the 18XL you should expect around 50 - 55 miles range total. You will find people who have gone above, I am giving a conservative guesswork estimate.

In this post from last year the 50% are stated

If one looks at the graphs like 59S2pJx.png

from this above linked topic, imho the 50% compared to the 25% makes not that huge difference, as it sets in "slowly" and with lower battery % one does nit really want to show off...

But anyhow, if no ks18xl 2200W owner with the current firware chimes in write an email to ewheels.com. They should happily give you this informatiin!

what i mean is not max range but they advertise that the KS18XL could maintain it's top speed of 31 mph without tiltback until the battery reaches 25% instead of the prior 50% on the KS18L which would drop you drop a max of 25 mph after the battery reaches 50%. I said nothing about range.

Throttle at 50% is correct.... the only way for a KS-18L to NOT throttle at 50% is for you to be on a firmware below 2.XX, the 2200W motor cannot run at firmware below 2.XX it wont allow you to install it... the page is stating old information... I have and prefer a KS-18XL with the old 2000W motor on FW 1.13, this is what it will always stay at.... the new 2200W motor or an old motor on FW 2.XX+ has the "benefit" of being much more touchy and harder on acceleration, its 0-50 speed is much quicker and easier to attain than an old motor on old firmware hence the added safety measure of throttling the speed at <50% battery, there is no workaround and if you dont want that you will have to buy a used wheel with the 2000W motor... you could also obviously if money was no issue, buy and swap out a 2000W motor and then sell the 2200W motor, and push an older FW onto the wheel
