OneWheel
Need advice on safety. When riding the euc at 10km/hr, the wheel suddenly loses power causing a face plant. Would I stand a better chance of running recovery on a 16 inch compare to a 18 inch due to the height recovery consideration.
OliverH
At 10 km/h you should automatically walk away in all occasions.
Cloud
imho, i wouldnt make that a deal maker in deciding which wheel to buy. If i were you, Id base my decision on which wheel you are more comfortable with. This may affect how comfortable you will be jumping off it. Also an 18" may be taking pavement irregularities better which may reduce the number of times you have to jump off. if you still want to access the difference for jumping off based on the 16 vs18 alone, id venture to say it should be easier to jump off the lighter/ smaller 16 inch as the heavier / bigger 18" may have a higher probability To continue rolling and hit you from behind. Not likely that wheel size will make any relevant difference in this respect. In principle you should be better off with a heavier wheel (as you can jump off while getting some resistance), unless the wheel is going to hit you, of course. Again, I don't think the difference is relevant in the weight ranges we are talking about.
OneWheel
This video shows face planting happens soo fast. The train speed direction is perpendicular to body movement direction compare to euc face plant. Here is a face plant from euc. Rider was on alert and was ready for the run otherwise could be much worst.
dmethvin
Based on the overspeed beep that happened on the trailing Firewheel a few seconds earlier, the Ninebot was probably going about 15kph when that happened. He was lucky he didn't get scraped up given that he just had a t-shirt and shorts. When I saw this a few months back I thought he might have hit the little red thing in the road and lost balance, but looking at it now it sure seems like the Ninebot tilts forward as if it was cutting out or losing power. FW version? Battery level?
Colestien
You can't tell if the wheel cut off by a video. It looks like me with my first cut off. I should say my first over lean. A truck passed me, and I pulled in behind it. I ended up over leaning to try and catch up. Crossing a street would cause someone to do the same thing.... want that instant speed increase the wheel could not deliver.
playdad
Hey that guy closest to rider in 2nd video barely even looked at him falling.
