Noam
Whenever I charge my Mten I see a little spark just before I put the connector of the transformer into the plug of the euc. At this time I have not put the other end of the cable into the socket in the wall. But still the green light will appear on the transformer and it will change to red, once I plug the cable into the socket in the wall. Is that normal? I must confess, that this is worring me a bit. Is there any risk that this spark will cause any danger to the board, the battery or other parts of the Mten? I do not encounter anything similar when charging my Ninebot One E+. Thanks in advance for some advise and insight!
Donafello
I always plug the connector into the wall first and then plug it into the unit. I did get that spark once when I did it your way but never seen it again and it didnot seem to hurt anything. i have a gotway msuper
esaj
This has been mentioned before, there's no protection diode in the BMS's of standard Gotway-batteries, ie. there's voltage in the charge port. Noam
Thanks a lot for the fast and helpful replies. Will follow this procedure from now on and will recharge the battery a little earlier than in the past.
