Chucka Wheelie Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Hey guys, If this has been brought up please forgive me. I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a better solution to get to those pesky (but essential) tyre valves?! I've always struggle with the V11's valve but I think I've just gotten use to it. Then comes my new Sherman... Put Armor Dilloz in the tyre but then came pumping up the tyre and it was like doing finger gymnastics! lol There's gotta be an easier way. I use the Xiaomi ePump and it's amazing and accurate with pressure reads but trying to screw that thing onto EUC valves have been the bane of my wheel existence! Another question is, if I used a valve extender, would that bugger up the PSI reading? Quote
RetroThruster Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 I use my valve extender that came with my mten on all my wheels, I can't imagine it giving false PSI readings given it only takes a tiny bit of air to fill the extender. 1 Quote
Corn Flake Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 My Ninebot also came with a valve extender. I seen them on sale on Aliexpress as well. 1 Quote
Denny Paul Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 1) I’d recommend using an all metal, no moving parts type valve extender like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G1ZM5ZY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_54ZZ5FG4QP6PP0KWDDPX They’re much easier to screw on and off quickly than the type with a locking nut. 2) No it won’t. Each time you attach a valve extender, the psi of your tire will drop to fill the newly introduced volume. Once you use your electric pump, both your tire and your valve extender will be whatever psi you set it to. Then when you disconnect the valve, the air escaping will predominantly be from the valve extender, and only a bit from your tire, provided that you disengage it fast enough. 3 Quote
Scottie888 Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 I stick this Slime quick release hose adapter to my Milwaukee M12 cordless inflator & inflating tires of all sorts have never been easier nor quicker. I'm sure other makes will work just as well. Personally I detest the screw-ins as it just wastes time plus more time for air loss. For $6, its a no brainer. 1 Quote

My shredded fingers is already thanking you! The only problem I can foresee is trying to fit that length of metal to the valve that angled into the wheel. The shell and roll cage might be in the way. I'll give it a go anyway and update this topic. 2 hours ago, Scottie888 said: I stick this Slime quick release hose adapter to my Milwaukee M12 cordless inflator & inflating tires of all sorts have never been easier nor quicker.
