Edidas Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 I wear motorcycle jacket for winter/falls but I'm consider to upgrade my Amazon skateboarding elbow pads to something slimmer but still provide enough protection in spring/summer weather. I'd like to know which most of the euc rider use in summer when jacket is too warm to wear while riding. Pads with adjustable valcro are preferred since slip on sleeves type lose tension overtime and I'd like to make sure it stays in place when i need them. 2 Quote
Tawpie Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 I have (or had, I can't find them all the sudden) a pair from the ProTec 'set' that are velcro. They seemed to stay up ok but are far from slim. And I haven't fallen on them yet so I don't know how well they work in practice. I like the fit though! 1 Quote

I think my Amazon set are knocked off of ProTec (comes with wrist guard, elbow & knee pads in a mesh bag).I have crashed in them but the wrist guard didn't prevent my wrist from breaking so I've lost all confidence in them as per the whole set lol... I'd like to invest in a better known brand (Leatt, Fox... Etc) for better protection that could also last. Quote
pfries911 Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 I picked up evs, I wore them back in the early/mid 80s for moto-x affordable protection that did not let me down back then. 1 Quote
Edidas Posted April 23, 2021 Author Posted April 23, 2021 Was thinking I'll try my hands on the Leatt as the knee guards were pretty good, Bought the leatt contour elbow guards and tried them on, definitely not secure with the slip on, it moves around very slightly and the worst is they overlapping after putting on my demon Flex wrist guard and don't feel comfortable, I'll return them. shellac Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 (edited) Pretty happy with the fox racing titan. Edited April 23, 2021 by shellac 1 Quote
litewave Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 (edited) I switched to the Demon D3O Hyper X D3O Elbow Pads from the Leatt 3.0 Elbow Guard. I wore the Leatt for several years and despite being somewhat loose-fitting, they stayed in-place in every crash. I liked that I could wear them under or over sweatshirts. Unfortunately, I took a direct hit last summer to one of the Leatt pads and fractured my shoulder. The elbow pad saved my elbow and deflected much of the impact, but the padding wasn't enough to absorb the remaining force that traveled up the humerus. I have since switched over to the Demon's with D3O which are very snug and have to be worn on bare skin. So far so good. Edited April 23, 2021 by litewave 3 Quote
Jesús Parrilla Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 I always tried to find the best elbow pads that can be adapted, Spoiler I tried 6 types of elbow pads, but these elbow pads were the ones that convinced me the most, they have suffered several falls and have saved me. they are spacious and very comfortable Here you can see how they are 1 Quote
Kagenin Posted April 24, 2021 Posted April 24, 2021 Big fan of Triple8's EP55 Elbow pads. I use KP55s when I'm rollerblading, too. I also use a set of Triple8 Bumsavers for tailbone and hip protection, both when skating and riding my EUC. My first big crash on my S18 put me right on my tailbone, and my wife wasn't happy that I wasn't wearing the bumsavers at the time... Quote
Ivank Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Looking for elbow guard to fit with demon fleximeter wrist guards. Please share your setup. Thanks! Quote
Scottie888 Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Whichever make & model you get, I'd get the extended elbows to forearms version. By experience, if the elbows gets it bad, the forearms won't be spared either. The shortie pads might work for skateboards but the nature of EUC crashes makes frontal faceplant type falls more likely than not. In which case the arms will auto flail forward to act as the shock absorbers so any extra protection will only help. Also get pads that fit as snug as possible, comfort allowing. 2 Quote
Ivank Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 (edited) Thanks! I've raised this question since fleximeter wrist guard cannot be fitted well on top of Fox Titan sport jacket... Because elbow pads from jacket goes too far to the wrist.. I ended up with some brutal elbow pads cutting on the jacket in order to fit. This jacket is a bit overkill for daily use so I'm looking for something to be good with fleximeter combination without DYI need Edited May 29, 2021 by Ivank Spell mistake Quote

Rushing with order now The forearm material on the elnow pads is very good quality, tight fitting yet thin so it fits under the flexmeters without any feeling of bulk or material overlapping Quote
Ivank Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 https://ibb.co/2YBQ3j8 https://ibb.co/GHXcmdv This is how this fits together. 2 Quote
OldFartRides Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 I’ve noticed some motorcycle shops selling knee/shin guards as elbow/ forearm guards. Quote
