I have the stock tire and it's marginal for trail riding. My RS runs cooler on the street since I have the C30 motor.

eucVibes
Pads bring comfort and better wheel control, better torque better breaking, they shouldn’t even sell EUC’s without them at this point imo

Lateralus
Love pads for jumping and for staying secure in the event of an unexpected pothole but I haven't put any on my MCM5 because of its weirdly contoured side panels. Anyone found a good solution for that? It's mostly fine without pads as it is a lighter wheel that's very nimble and I do prefer the smaller size without pads, but still, I'm open to suggestions that can be stuck to such a non-flat surface without using a bucket of hot glue. Wide 3m velcro? Just a suggest, I use it on damn near everything. Well, except for any rubberized plastics.. It aint cheap, but since when is anything decent cheap? EMA
pads are strictly personal, i use mine for the improved breaking, front one just for hills. But if you want to really do hardcore riding you need something that hold your feet close to the pedals, not locked but close. jm2c example: https://www.facebook.com/radicalcheap/videos/475175750570048
DanielTwice
Hello! I also did not like the pads that came with my sherman, so i have been experimenting with some homemade ones.. After a ton of different shapes and sizes, i finally got it perfect(for me atleast), exept for the uphill support one.. But i will get back to that:-). I got the back pads for braking and support/jumping pads down by the ankles and toes.. But make sure there is breathing room between the pad and your foot.. The forward most part of the pad should be very close to your toes, so that when u lift/point your toes upwards, you get locked in.. These pads changed my sherman game immensly! Easy to jump, and the wheel does not feel as heavy anymore. I could finally start to play for real with it!:-D. Would be fun to get some opinions on it, if someone were to try them out.. Just make sure the space between the pads and your feet is just right.. Too tight is fucked up! https://ibb.co/chBrtmJhttps://ibb.co/Bfh5w6Hhttps://ibb.co/q9s2LX1https://ibb.co/GnHR8gFhttps://ibb.co/wBvLyFShttps://ibb.co/LRjJYVd

That's what I meant by non-flat surface.
