Rake
So my kid crashed his MSX - the wheel hit his head on its way down a 20ft slope and impact was on the front above the light. kids helmet saved him and he is 100% ok but the 2 front posts inside the shell are damaged. The stew head pulled clean through them leaving 1 post cracked and the other without shoulders for the screw head to rest on. I have found a couple of threads where people have suggested using bolts nuts and washers to hold the front case together. does anyone have some pics or extra detail on how to repair these posts in the shell please ? Fuerte
I don't know about repairing the damage, but ewheels sells replacement parts which might be easier.
drader
The shell of most Gotway wheels is made of ABS... and people don't realize how fortunate we are by that fact. ABS can be melted by acetone. You can go to the hardware store and get ABS pipe glue (which is a mixture of ABS and acetone, duh). You can slather it on the cracked areas and it will form a "chemical weld" which means it is melting into the shell, rather than just a glue like epoxy, which sticks to the surface, and ultimately fails. For those holes you can build it up with layers of ABS glue, then sand/file it down smooth - it is will be STRONG. The stupid posts that crack inside can be built up to be super thick. Any stripped threads can be re-melted to be useful again. A large jar of ABS glue is like $4. Build it up in layers over several days.
Jesús Parrilla
Do not worry, everything has a solution .. what the colleagues have indicated is a solution, I fix them with this glue that I buy in aliexpres and it is perfect. it stays very very good. regards.
