Lukasz Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 (edited) This would be great idea for smaller wheel to allow to take it to the plane, but with such qty of AA cells it would be very costly to operate this wheel... even if You get the batteries from IKEA, getting 160 cells for every 30 km ???? ... and in fact it will not be easy to get 160 pcs of batteries all at once except in IKEA... so it must be joke... Meserias Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 (edited) watch the latest video about this wheel :)) priceless. 5Kg of batteries Edited April 2, 2021 by Meserias Quote
RockyTop Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 Having a universal battery sure would be nice. Use one on your leaf blower, one or two on your push mower, 3 or 4 on your riding mover. 6 or more in your golf cart. One style battery that runs them all. Quote
Rikachu Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 I was riding the other day and thinking why not make swappable batteries on the EUC, can't be that hard to make the side covers open and close on a hinge or something Quote
Kurtosis Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 The problems with swappable batteries are exactly why they don't have them on laptops and phones any more. Specifically: People don't actually swap them very frequently because batteries of that size are expensive so most people don't even own more than one The extra parts needed to make them swappable add weight, volume, and parts that can fail 2 Quote
