Anybody with Freeman A4 experience?

I came looking for a Freeman review but can't seem to find one using the search function.  What is the word on the Freeman A4?  It seems to have pretty good stats relative to the price...

I bought a TG T3 a couple weeks ago and am already ready to upgrade.

It is only mentioned here:http://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/1894-a4-freeman-unicycle-18kmh-22e-samsung-bettery/,

The ownership poll here: http://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/12-electric-unicycle-brand-ownership-poll/ suggests one person owns one (probably the guy plugging it in the first post ;-} )

That should, in itself, raise alarm bells. For example 20kM range from a 132Wh battery.

I'm curious , in what way do you see this as an upgrade to theTG T3, none of the stats I could see look any better?

I thought the Freeman A4 came in a number of sizes?  A quick search on alibaba shows different battery sizes, and associated speeds and distances achieved.

Hi, have only just found this thread.

I've just ordered a top spec A4H : 30kmh top speed (if your brave) with a 348wh battery.

Should arrive in a couple of weeks, so I'll post again once I've had a chance to test. :)

Yo I am a Freeman A4 rider, or I was before I killed it...my fault riding too extreme. Lol. Just know that my only references are the Airwheel X8, the X3, the Gotway MCM2, A generic 16inch 9Bot knock-off and of course the A4, so I have seen a bit from the two ends of the spectrum but not all that much. Grain of salt y'all!

The A4's are damn good machines, even the lowest model is pretty cool. They have Freeman's own original dual chip brains and it's own individual form factor. I have made it do all kinds of stuff that it maybe shouldn't do. Hehehe. It is strong, shell won't crack no matter how hard you slam it, but it will split the two halves if ya bounce it off the wall too much. Mine was strong for a 132Wh and the 350W motor, awesome reaction as far as stop start excel time goes, tight maneuverability and it is quiet a and smooth ride. The A4 132Wh is light at about 9.5kg, I believe your A4H-348 will be around 12kg. It actually did about 20K with pedal lift at about 16k pedals don't lift too high either like an Airwheel just enough to warn you.

Drawbacks: it beeps loud and incessantly, it has very square edges especially around the padding edge. The pedal arms are perfect for what I do with them but pedals could be bigger I guess. The speedo is illegible while riding. Charging slot cover doesn't stay on. Some of this is relative to the way I used it.

Waiting patiently to for a A4H-264 tester. it should be here soon. Lets see what we think.

Here is some footage of me and the A4 in action.

Peace - Reny

Reny, your first video was what swayed my to buy the Freeman - you are putting it through some SERIOUS abuse & it looks to cope very well ! :)

I guess you are (or were) a skateboarder looking at some of your tricks - inspiration to everyone !

Thanks for replying

They have a different PCB control design to all the other generic EUC? Any pics of the controller?

Seems like they aren't even trying to be like any other brand, beside that, Freemans chips go great with fish and a pint.

Thanx for the luv! There is inspiration around every corner...it shows it self at the oddest times. I stumbled on to these things by accident with out ever seeing one in person. Just had to have one! The Freeman was bought from a shady Ebay seller and the thing was scratched a bunch, and I had no idea how it should function really. When I complained to Ebay the seller just refunded my money and never asked for the return. So I started on a free (man) Wheel. How lucky was that? Mine should be here in a couple weeks. I ordered one that I'll call "The Selector", it is black and white so it reminds me of U.K. Ska. Lets see who's arrives first. Lol. - Reny

Freeman's are dope!. I bought the Gotway MCM and I hated that thing. it just can't do what I need it to do.

Do you still have the A4 you broke? I'm interested to see what hardware they have inside in comparison to kingsong, gotway etc. Those other brands still run fairly basic STM32F1 motor controllers, if the freeman ones use twin MCUs they might be running FOC and have better performance than their specs would imply.

There are indeed two STM32F103's on that board. On the far-left is a chip that looks similar to MPU6050, so it could be the gyro. Rest are probably op-amps/mosfet-drivers/whatever?

I haven't advanced much with my 3-phase motor driver project, so I'm not that familiar with FOC... have to keep reading  ;)

Does this actually mean that Freeman has the most sophisticated motor control of all EUCs currently? :P

I retract my words, thanks to @Sidestreet Reny's demonstrations, providing that you get one with a decent sized battery it looks like it is quite a wheel for the money :-)

Hmmmmmm? :) They deserve some love at least. I am gonna post a thorough video when I get my new one. Let me know if there is anything ya want me to test when I get it.

Where did @Bush and the freeman reps go, I haven't seen them on skype, here or alibaba for a week or so. I might try and buy an A4H sample if they are selling them now.

When are you back from holidays?

You should advertise that more I think, it looks better than other EUC control boards I have seen, it's 4 layer PCB with twin MCU? What does the 2nd MCU do? It might be possible to sell them in other countries even without ul2272 if some of the safety systems are better than other EUC brand.

We come back to holiday now,

Also, Advertise more than the others? It's take more than we further develop within the product...

Do your side ever seem Solowheel advertise their product?Never!

China have an older words that “酒香不过巷子深”, If your side have the best product, why do your side pushing for more client?

We face on product, that's why you got us here... Also, that's why most brand of EUC die out of the market

I don't mean increase advertising quantity, but show unique features more. For example high quality customized controller is a good feature but until now no one here knew the A4 had a more advanced design. When you have a technological advantage over other brands you should promote it to consumers.

yet, but right now, we are famous within the self balance scooter area, but not for client.

We just finished the meeting regarding to the control board...

http://sports.le.com/video/24989926.html

(The deputy general  secretary is our boss, the news is come out for several month...)

But this advance design is hard to control, according to the copy product grow far more than the developing..

That's why we focus on the product but not the promotion within these year...

Beside, We  offer OEM service for POWER BOARD, Sharper imager, beeper...

Frankly, the product capacity for two wheel balancing scooter. According to the EUC product market growing slow than the product item.

Even we pushing for our brand, but there is not enough, That's also one of the weak of our side.

But this year, we pushing for Local warehouse for EU, and USA....That's mean that we will start for it...

We now further the cooperation with Lastmile France, also Inventist(Solowheel)

And might   share swap within these year....
