Sorry to bother,

I'm trying to understand something: I was trying to post and attach 3 pics with about 200kb each and the forum only allows me to attach 4kb. Is there a monthly limit or am I doing something wrong?

Thank you for your time.

It has become a very common practice now to use a photo hosting site to enable your photos to be uploaded to the forum using the photos link, due to data limits on the Forum's server.

I personally started using Flickr to host All my photos, so that I can upload them here as required for this very same reason.

Hope this helps.

hahaha   I can laugh at you because I ran into the VERY same problem. I had been posting pics for over a year and then BAM.. no more room. I should have read the 'rules' post more closely:facepalm:. I ended up witha  'postimages' account and now post much less images. Kinda sucks, as I know that eventaully I will forget my passoord or 'postimages' will go bonkers. I must say tho, Im really impressed that @Paulo Mesquita ran out of image space so soon and I made it a year. Too much damn porn paulo, you gotta upload in low resolution(rules also prohibit porn wtf?!)! Too late now, unless you want to comb your old pictures and replace each with a link. Total snafu when it comes to quoted images I'd suspect. Looking into server prices, I was simply shocked and am not surprised there HAS to be an upload cap. I offered to pay a little to offset the cost, but THEN I saw how much it costs. Yeah, my measely offering wouldnt help much. Its also explained in the sticky post as the very first post under 'forum rules'. This link is the second post just under it. Both just happens to be nearly same locale as THIS very posting. If it was a fire Paulo  you'd done been burned...

@Paulo Mesquita Yea, this forum has limited space itself, so serious image posting needs to be somewhere elseTM. Anyways, looks like you went in 110% on EUCs since you started not too long ago:thumbup: Consider running out of the little forum space assigned here as a badge of honor;)

Pretty neat image host. Gives you the direct link to copy without any frills. Wasn't too happy with imgbb because of that. I'll add a link in the "how to" post. Let's hope it stays for a while.

Flickr is the one where you can expect it to not suddenly vanish, but I guess it's a little more involved than these easy, one-click, no-account image hosts.

Glorious test image:

Nah, nobody reads the rules, and we don't expect people to (it's not how the world works:D).

They're there to provide an answer when someone aks (like here), or for the occasional "Told you so!" (like you did here).

All is good.

I have a Flickr account but only for my astrophotography. I'll follow your advice and own another. Thanks

I'm actually quite experienced with international forum and I has never been in one with a MB max for the user. The common thing is a max picture size, which I always obey. Well, I'll just have to adjust 😁

But remember, nothing is truly “free”. With postimages (and probably every service) be sure you know that uploading to them grants them forever worldwide rights to use your pictures for whatever they want, including reselling them to anyone else for any use. You will get no money or attribution, so don’t upload anything you want to make money from!

When you delete your stuff the license is voided, unless they’ve already sub-licensed it...
