AlanR Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Has anyone received and set-up the Ninebot's Miband? The instruction sheet with it is conveniently written in Chinese only! There is a charging cable with it has a USB connection. Any suggestions welcome on what to do and not to do!! It doesn't appear to connect to the EUC or show anything at present.
playdad Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 I don't have a NineBot but seeing how Ninebot has been invested in by XiaoMi.. did you mean the Xiaomi Mi-Band? Hope this helps... http://www.texnikapro.ru/uploads/files/Manual_Mi_Band%20%28EN%29.pdf
AlanR Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 @playdad I did find this website after reading the QR code - but I was under the impression that it gave the EUC's status - speed, battery charge level etc!!
csmyers Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 @AlanR I have a Xiaomi MiBand and it's nothing but a fitness band. By default, it doesn't give you any notifications besides calling. However, if you have an Android device, you can get a 'hacked' MiBand app that will let you enable various notifications including texts, calls, other app notifications, etc. Unfortunately I highly doubt that any of the EUC apps have enabled support for this.

Apparently, @mengke has done it for his Ninebot One units. Otherwise, he would not be advertizing it.
SirGeraint Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 @AlanR you might try searching this Forum for previous posts about the MiBand, especially ones from mengke since he includes them with Ninebots that he sells.

Many months ago after Mengke started offering the MiBand with his orders of a Ninebot One I did some research. I contacted Ninebot Inc. and Xiaomi directly and asked them about the MiBand. I was very interested and wanted to order some to offer on our website www.forwardca.com. I was told that currently the MiBand does not connect to the Ninebot One. Mengke was falsely advertising the MiBand to bolster sales.
AlanR Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Thanks @FORWARD california I have been off riding due to a fall and shoulder injury. I believe ethics are not a high priority with Chinese manufacturers / sellers. I bought a generic - it lasted 7 weeks, warranty thus far has meant 'squat'; no contact from them for over 3 months - said xmas period was busy for them! I am pinning my hopes on a 9B1E+ with version 1.3.0 when my shoulder eventually repairs. I have come to accept that the Miband is irrelevant window dressing. @adhermes video of Jason's fall has dented my confidence somewhat in the 9B1E+ s! Would like to hear follow up on what caused the failure.
