JamakinJoel
Hello, I recently got a tg t3 from banggood and it shutoff on me yesterday going full speed. Luckily I jumped off of it without falling. My board looks like Fahrtwinds seen here: http://i.imgur.com/4Tl7SZN.jpg But my board has a chip where he soldered. Seen here: http://i.imgur.com/VvNWaL9.jpg Can anyone tell me where I should solder? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joel

Why do you recommend replacing the battery over shunting it?

Hi @JamakinJoel because the shunt is just running a new earth, if the battery was incorrectly manufactured you should request a replacement, if battery failed for a reason then perhaps resurrection is unwise as the battery could be/become unsafe. "When a lithium ion battery fails it should not be opened or dismantled, the failed battery should be replaced and failed battery sent for recycling or returned to the original supplier." This is the correct course of action for the safe use, handling and disposal of Lithium batteries (all types). Current lithium ion battery packs form an intelligent power storage system with no customer serviceable items. The complete battery pack is the only field serviceable component. Do not under estimate the potential level of danger involved in dismantling Li battery packs, there are already too many serious injuries proving this fact. If it does go badly then the results can be extreme. No responsible Li battery manufacturer would advise the repair course of action you are taking. Please replace the complete battery I think this modification may in fact be very bad, a further look at the images may be indicating a total by pass of the Battery management system, this battery is NOT designed to operate without a working BMS
