Tomek
Being totally fed back with beeps at 12km/h of my generic Himiway, I've pretty much set my mind on upgrading to a faster wheel. Being a fond DIYer, I was considering either upgrading just the motor and control board (http://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/2035-tg-f-5-500w-motor-upgrade/), getting an IPS Zero, or saving up some bucks while waiting for the upcoming KS16... but just saw this deal on aliexpress, for an IPS xima 191 @419$ including shipping to EU. Isn't it way too good of a deal to be true? The seller seems legit though... http://www.aliexpress.com/item/IPS191-30km-h-Self-Balancing-Electric-Unicycle-Scooter-Wheel-Monocycle-Black/32553644811.html?spm=2114.01020208.8.36.Ib7RZo
Jurgen
Way too good to be true, if you ask me. There seem to be some shiping difficulties to Belgium (and probably the EU): when inquiring about a new Lhotz (for Belgium) at IAMIPS I got the following answer: "shipping cost is about $300 due to the high tax, nowdays we only find one forwarder who can ship this item, all channels have been closed for the similar product, so the price is higher than before" sorry to burst your bubble
Milo Dorigo
Probably to good to be true. It's also shipped with china post, so IF you'd actually get it, it would take more than a month.

The motor+controller+taxes+shipping should be around 200$, but then you basically get the gotway mcm2s components without tiltback or ios support. 25 minutes ago, Milo Dorigo said: Probably to good to be true. Wouldn't mind the wait for that price, but if a normal price for Xima on taobao is 4500RMB, this deal is just a bit too fishy to believe, indeed
Paddylaz
Too good to be true. Also, to give you a good idea of shipping times/waiting: I just got word from UPS that my xima lhotz from iamips is arriving on Wednesday!!!! ?...I ordered in October
esaj
It does sound pretty cheap for the real thing, might be too good to be true... but you know what, I've got KS 16"s for sale at $500 a piece, let me get you my account number in the Bahamas

playdad
Being based in China... I smell something fishy in the air... and it's not my socks. The cheapest I've seen Xima 260 is above US$500. And that's domestic!
elias_
i too was looking at this deal... let me know if you pull the trigger. Also, i noticed some Lhotz have LHOTZ branded on the right side, as well as SHANGHAI XIMA on the left... was kinda confused and wondered when i saw the XIMALAYAS on the left of this one. Could anyone else tell me if that is possible giveaway? all the ones branded LHOTZ are upwards of $900. ALSO: the same seller has an Fastwheel Ring posted for even cheaper, which does not make any sense because im pretty sure this EU isnt even released yet! http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Fastwheel-Ring-Self-Balancing-Electric-Unicycle-Scooter-free-shipping/32555355024.html?spm=2114.10010108.100009.9.FLTa29
playdad
I've seen that before on other sites. Used to wonder what the heck it said and figured it was a play on "XIMA ALWAYS" 17 minutes ago, elias_ said: ALSO: the same seller has an Fastwheel Ring posted for even cheaper, which does not make any sense because im pretty sure this EU isnt even released yet! http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Fastwheel-Ring-Self-Balancing-Electric-Unicycle-Scooter-free-shipping/32555355024.html?spm=2114.10010108.100009.9.FLTa29 I've actually seen this available in a Chinese online store. Looked interesting but didn't feel it was enough so didn't check up too much on it.
elias_
oh really? I cant find anything about the release date or specs on fastwheel's website. I emailed them a couple hours ago to try and obtain more info. I read somewhere they were going to release a beta versions.. would hate to get one of those....! Jean eRide.ie Community
Hi all, This Jean from Dublin, I've been reading you all for a good while now as I've a generic unicycle (4-5km range, 10km/h...), and thanks to your comments and a lot of YouTube videos I decided to import an IPS Lhotz 340! I can't wait for it to arrive! Haha. When it comes to this deal on Aliexpress, it clear its fake as you all say, I saw something similar from a different seller some weeks ago, selling a GW MSuper for a ridiculous 200-300 USD, same seller selling for a similar price also a 18" Ryno style unicycle, both of them got more than 100 orders! Some days later I was looking for them again and they disappeared, I suppose it was reported and all buyer got their money back... This seller had a lot of positive feedback already, I checked and wasn't selling electric unicycles, but small things like clothes for babies or scarfs, that is how he got so many orders for the unicycles... If we watch this one, and they get any orders, we will most likely see something similar happen, I'll actually save the item as a favorite, let's see how fast it is removed. Edit: Just checked, looks like this seller was selling Lego style toys before... Doesn't look good, more than 20 orders of the IPS and more than 200 hoverboards! (These at a more normal price...), let's see... Haha. Thanks to all for all your comments and reviews on the forum! I'm happy to be a new member of this community Best Regards, Jean. dmethvin
So if that deal seemed too good to be true, this one is even more: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/IPS191-30km-h-APP-Self-Balancing-Electric-Unicycle-Scooter-Wheel-Monocycle-White/32572949693.html http://www.aliexpress.com/item/IPS191-30km-h-Self-Balancing-Electric-Unicycle-Scooter-Wheel-Monocycle-Black/32574399262.html ($347 including free shipping) That is getting really close to the price of a cheap generic! I might even take a chance on that one.

Jean eRide.ie Community
Haha that one looks to be the same seller or at least he's doing very similar things, he was selling small Lego toys for some months and now is selling self-balancing scooters "very cheap" too... Anyway we all know how will this finish.
Jean eRide.ie Community
Hi all, That deal is already gone, was removed, as was expected, not sure if by the seller or Aliexpress, most likely the second, I only hope nobody expected that IPS to be someone's Christmas present . Mine is on the way! Happy Christmas to all! Jean.

Pasi
Now I am waiting for GW MCM4 HS, so let see. UPS number I have but you never know. Today I drove my old eu (generic?) in my job, in car hall after few weeks. I wonder how it was so difficult to make turns etc. I thouhg it was too long time last to do it. But i find out it was not enough pressure in the tire ( 0.5 bar....3bar), after that it was better. Outside it is not possible to go to ride ( yes some finnish can), it is under -20 C here. Jean eRide.ie Community
Hi all, I received my IPS Lhotz 340wh two Fridays ago, after a week and a weekend I love it! I could not resist using the unlocked speed app from the first moment haha, 60km done now at 25-26km/h most of the time (double beep) Of course it didn't cost me 400usd, but I think I got a real good deal from a reseller in Taobao (3999 yuan), not from the official IPS Taobao store (4999 yuan, as per today, as when I ordered was discounted to 4499 yuan I think...). At the end, I paid 974eur total taking in account agent commission (trusted agent), WU payment rate exchange and commission, shipping cost and customs costs. Here the link to the deal http://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?spm=a1z5f.7632060.0.0&id=520535152460
THA
Okay, worth of stress and waiting or not? Electro-sport.de sells it for 1.099€, offers vids, specs, experience and real customer service - I palced my order last tuesday, today (monday) got it to my doorsteps (even though I wasn't there, thus haven't got it yet). And I'm on "zone 2" - most fare away, back north. In netherlads one company sell this for 999€ - they just don't border to reply e-mails other than "You can order averything from our webshop, please refer.... etc... might continue like "just send the money, we send You something You might like whenever we please to..." Just saying, how much You actually saved... especially when something goes wrong and You need some warranty service...
