Hopefully I can report what I find within the next couple days. I am also curious what others have found. I am merely hoping the pedal dip is gone. I don't know if this problem even applies to wheels sold later than 1st batch tho. 3 Quote
Globewheel Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 What does it look like how could you tell if it's the "new" chip. I just got my sherman 3 days ago from ewheels . Quote
null Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 You can check the firmware version using DarknessBot or EUC world, the later versions will be 4.xx Quote
Popular Post ..... Posted November 6, 2020 Popular Post Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) Oh HELL YES!!!! I got my fw chip in today. Honestly, I felt safer doing this update than the fear of software with KS. The verdict.... OH HELL YES!! So far, the pedal dip is about half of what it was. The chip had #1056 written on it, I dont know if that's version or not. At this point I don't care! Some quick 360's in the road and the pedal dip was VERY manageable. It still dips just a little, but its very similar to my 18L now. I would say it is easily defined as a slight dip to enable some leverage for takeoff. Before, it was a little exaggerated and required balance shift. NOW... well, I'm rarely happy with changes but this is a GREAT one. I havent ridden but a few miles since the uber easy update. As long as nothing else was broken during the update, I call it a win win win. I can accellerate with more authority and now I can get to that comfy 30mph as I expect it should. I am back to medium mode (so comfy) and 0 on tilt, just as I like it. No, its not a rocket, and maybe its all in my head. But THIS is how it should have come from the start. Coupled with my minimal/custom 'power pads', its more mangeable and feels secure. Dangrous amount of comfort perhaps?! Maybe there can be more polish put into the fw in the future, but for once... I can't complain. A HUGE thumbs up to Jason at e-wheels for taking care of me on this. Would it make me too gay if I sincerely wanted to hug the team? Edited November 6, 2020 by ShanesPlanet 8 Quote

I prefer medium mode so far, but 'hard' mode or 'strong' (hell idr) isnt bad at all. Very subtle between the two. I ride hard mode on the 18L. 2 Quote
Fastmike Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Damned! Just received my Sherman about an hour ago and don't have the last firmware 4.31 (1056)... I have 4.27 (1051) which might be the initial version, not too sure, but certainly not the last one. Hopefully will find a way to get the chip over to Europe... Quote
GoldenOne Posted November 23, 2021 Posted November 23, 2021 Was the pedal dip issue ever fully fixed with a hardware/firmware update or is it still present? Quote
